Fishing helped get me back into biking after a long hibernation. A friend and I started heading out on pre-dawn fishing trips carrying beer, ice, and fishing stuff on our backs. About a decade later, He's still fishing but not biking a lot. I'm still biking but not fishing at all. Got tired of

Tenkara fly fishing intrigues me, much the way SS intrigues me and I now love it. Simplicity. No reel, but a well crafted pole and line. All collapsing very small and portable and easy to set up. If I was to fish again, I think that is what I would do. With abandon, Patrick -- You received th

The Japanese take trains go fishing, and their idea of stealth is also saving face - on the way, they don't want their tackle to be in anyone else's way. This little 7' trout rod came from Blue Dun Fly Shop in Tokyo

I will occassionally ride on the Stony Creek Trail east of Dauphin, PA, which is a 20 mile double track that runs along a trout stream for a stretch. It was there that I first encountered "fishing bikes" which are old balloon tired beaters with PVC tubes affixed to the forks for carrying poles
