What do you have installed and working at this point. You will need to
Maildir for the mailbox format and turn procmail off as your

You need to modify your fstab as follows, assuming you want quotas on
/home.
LABEL=/home /home ext2 defaults,
usrquota 1 2
Then run quotacheck u v /home. Then reboot. After the machine has

I’m looking for a good SCSI RAID Card for RH7.1 that
RedHat supports. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.
Check xinetd.d folder. Make sure that telnet and ftp are not disabled. If
you modify either, you will have to restart xinetd. Use
/etc/rc.d/init.d/xinetd restart

copy the /etc/rc.d/init.d script and modify them to start your programs. You
will have to run chkconfig to set the run levels.

Check your sendmail.cf file. I had to comment out a line when I upgraded.

delete the files from the mqueue. Run 'sendmail -bp -d0.11' to find the mail
queue location.

I use Adaptec, but I believe any cd-writer software that can use .iso files
will work. Do you download disc 2 also. You need both discs this time.

Check sendmail.cw or local-host-names file for your domain name. Try
running /usr/sbin/sendmail -bp -d0.11 It will tell some good information.

It sounds like the install program isn't finding your cd-rom. You may have
to tell linux where your cd-rom is. At install it's something like hdc=cd
(changes based on the cd-rom drive you have). I had to do this once a year
or as ago. Check redhat.com for the correct syntax. Hope this helps
