My opinions and decisions about this thread are:
1. Icons:
I'd like to see a monochrome iconset based on Font Awesome. When it's
ready we can discuss if it should be the default or not.
I'll try to improve our current iconset too. Following Todd's suggetion,

I am aware many things are platform dependent, but I work on Windows
and Ubuntu and I get the same results I described.
