Since you changed the pager server before upgrading to Pidgin 2.5.7, you
need to change it back to "scsa.msg.yahoo.com"

I have been unable to connect using pidgin all day. The following message
shows up for each messenger type:
Hemarc (username) disconnected
Lost connection with server:
Remote host closed connection

I'm very excited to see that the Yahoo connection issue has been taken care of
but I don't seem to be able to find a U3 version higher than 2.5.5.
Is there an ETA on release?
One last question, I have been finding the updates for the U3 version on
U3.com, but is there a "better" place to pick n

Update to Pidgin 2.5.7, and make sure you update both Pidgin and Libpurple.
Also, the pager server you use should be scsa.msg.yahoo.com

Changing the pager host was a temporary solution at best. It is likely
Yahoo eventually got around to disabling all servers providing access to
the old login method.

I upgraded to 2.5.7 because I was having connections problems trying to connect
to yahoo. Now that I have upgraded to the latest I am still having the same
problem along with new ones.
1) Now the latest version of Pidgin does not always connect to Yahoo
