I plan to do the the TiddlyWiki 2.6.3 beta tomorrow. As is the normal
practice, we will leave a week between the beta release and the final
release, so all being well, we should release 2.6.3 a wee tomorrow.

Agreed, we should tag releases - I think tagging was simply overlooked
when we moved to GitHub. I'll try and retrospectively tag the 2.6.2
release. I'll also try and ensure all releases are tagged in future.
