Last night I ran into the same problem. I upgraded from 12.04 LTS to 16.04.1
LTS Server and got stuck at boot.
The last message complained about a UUID not being present. It turned out it
was the /usr FS. Doing an "lvm lvscan" from the initrd prompt showed all but
one LVs inactive. The only one

My feeling is that (as Debian comments said its not an error) such script
comment need either to be fixed or silenced if that 'preset fail' has no real

there is an issue with incorrect certificates. Trello.com complains
about some cdn required to load that is currently unavailable.

The problem here was that the change was accidentally not pushed to the
bzr branch we use to maintain Ubuntu's GTK+ package. Because of that, I
didn't see the patch when I did the 3.22.6 update.
Re-uploaded to zesty and pushed to bzr this

but I am unable to read full message because it is flashed on and off the

I cannot print to my networked Brother HL-3170CDW from my wife's newly-
installed 16.04 laptop. My other laptop running 14.04 prints flawlessly
to the same printer. They are similar ASUS models. I did print from the
new machine once, right after installing the drivers, but eve
@deragon, here, the "$(sleep 10;/sbin/wpa_cli resume)&" doesn't work.
Somehow, I wonder if there is some black magic due to systemd, but it
doesn't seem that any command after the sleep is ever executed.

Using gdebi I've noticed it does not display the list of missing

I've reproduced this on a Thinkpad 410s running 16.04 LTS. The version
of network-manager I used is the latest from xenial-updates:
1.2.2-0ubuntu0.16.04.3.
A few comments:

Adding an apparmor-easyprof-ubuntu task because the Python utilities in
AppArmor 2.11.0 can't handle some of the dbus rules that it generates.
I'm hoping that we can work around this regression in the Python utils
in the meantime. This bug renders the Python utils useless when certain

I'm bumping the importance of the upstream AppArmor task to high. I
think this regression is going to affect a considerable number of users
since there has never been a restriction on the ordering of dbus rule

1. Install Trusty (14.04).
2. Enable trusty-proposed. https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed
3. apt-get update; apt-get upgrade.
4. apt-cache policy systemd. Make sure the version installed is 204-5ubuntu20.21
5. Reboot.
6. See if hotkey works.
