g that sounds like a name might be amusing the "Kirk V. Fug", which
could then optionally be shortened to something like KVF(UG)?.

rudimentary Introduction to Linux
(http://www.brandonchisham.com/online_books/), this could
easily be adapted to include some Truman specific stuff.
It would probably be good to start with something very flexible like
Gentoo or Debian, so that a higher level of customization could be
achieved.
That night sounds good. This week is too busy for me. Does anyone have
any topic ideas? I've started using mutt instead of pine and think that
it might be interesting to hear something about procmail.

P.S. in the process of working through this problem I found a good
iptables tutorial at:

Thanks for the help. I've implemented your suggestion.

I found this thread
(http://www.oclug.on.ca/pipermail/oclug/2001-May/thread.html#6047)
during the course of my googling. It indicates a method of suppressing
the messages, but suppressing the messages seems to be just treating the
symptoms and ignoring the cause.

ng soon. I
haven't made any changes to my networking setup in a long time, so I don't
think that that is the source of the problem.

I just tried logging into another domain that I own jessica-chapman.com,
and enountered the same difficulties. I can ftp to my truman webspace
without any trouble.

to my
site from there and could get the listing with no problem, which leads me
to believe that things are working fine on that end. I can ftp to
normally other sites, tux.org for example. Basically I'm wondering if
there is an easy way to determine if the problem is a result of my
configuration or ITS.
Thanks,
