I've noticed this bug report and merge request only after I did similar work to
merge the (a bit more recent) 1.4.0.dfsg+r17300-1 version from Debian -- see

As my debdiff has now been merged, I'm setting this bug report to Invalid.

Currently, Ubuntu has a 1.4.0 release candidate. Debian unstable has a
post-1.4.0 svn revision, with some relevant fixes that take care of some
nasty Signal 11 errors, so it would be desirable to update it.
