I can not reproduce the bug. When I selected a mail with 4 attachments,
clicked on forward button and the mail opens in a new window with the
original mail contents pasted into the new mail's contents. There is a
frame within the mail window that shows me a list of 4 attachments found
in the origin

I can confirm this as well, and it's not just OpenOffice, happens with
Eclipse and some other apps as well, but not Firefox and Pidgin, so it's

Can you please start the desktop CD again, add set -x to the second line
of /lib/partman/check.d/03partition_too_small so that it looks something

It's mystery to me why some people can boot other distros with grub but

Yes, this is horribly broken in Ubuntu 8.04. I guess it would help if
power.sh does its settings _before_ it calls laptop_mode, so that
laptop_mode's settings will prevail. Please test the patch and report
whether it helps for you.

I have the same symptoms. KDE4.0.4 on Kubuntu Hardy AMD64. I have a
GeForce7600GS with the 169.XX drivers.
I did find something like a workaround, but it is a bit slow at best.
When logged in, try to log out. The logout popup box takes a lot of time
to load, but it appears eventually. Logging out
Since everything seems to be in order and no personally identifiable
information is included in this report, I'm going to mark it as public
and pass it along for a developer to work on. Thanks for taking the time

I've experienced this. This happens only in Ubuntu 8.04 though,
apparently due to newer kernels. The binary generated by freeze works OK
with older kernels (definitely with 2.6.20-15-386), even if it was saved
with a new kernel (2.6.24-16-generic).

Sorry to bother you again, but can you add set -x to the top of
/usr/lib/ubiquity/migration-assistant/ma-ask and /usr/lib/ubiquity
/migration-assistant/ma-apply, so they will look something like this:

set -x
...
Then run the install again and attach /var/log/syslog to this bug
report.

OK, after much reading and doing and undoing, I still cannot connect to
windows (xp) server shares from Hardy but, I can from Feisty (laptop).

1-Add the following line to /etc/samba/smb.conf:
