installing compiz-settings-manager and enabling "Gnome Compatibility"

The plug-in also is not working on Jaunty. I have a machine running
Jaunty still, as it has a Poulsbo video chipset, and it is not supported
under Karmic. I also tried installing sun-java6-plugin on there, with
the result being no java listed in about:plugins in Firefox there

I am experiencing the same thing. I would test but the latest update has
made it impossible to connect to *any* wireless network of any flavor
automatically or manually (bug #416041). So, once that is rectified, I
would love to help with this :)

I have switched off another interfaces like br0 and eth1 and I left lo,
wlan0 and wmaster0 only (which looks like the firewire) only. After that
I have a message that 'remote user broke connection' and I attached log
file.

This may be a different problem than #416041. I saw the behavior being
described here on knetworkmanager, not the plasma widget. Bug #416041 is
for the widget.

I saw similar behavior when trying to connect to WPA network. It worked
fine with WEP. WEP would connect as usual. WPA would ignore me like I
never clicked.

os-prober is installed.
update-grub installed the entries for the remaining OSes.
However, none of them can be booted, only Karmic.
For booting Jaunty, grub2 reports this error:
