pcspkr is blacklisted and i am not receiving the 'annoying' system beep.
However i am not getting any beep at all. Gnome Alert sound has not taken over
this job. I can go into System > Preferences > Sound and 'Choose an alert
sound' and when I click on the sound I can hear it, but it does not
Ubuntu Karmic Koala Beta + all upgrades.
The Systems > Preferences > Bluetooth applications does not seem to have
an option to switch bluetooth off.

1: they dont fit the theme , the icons are styled differently from the rest of

Before making Martin's changes to fstab I took a series of 3
screenshots. The EEE PC 701 only has three USB ports. I have a USB
mouse, the USB WD passport drive containing Karmic and the USB Samsung
DVD writer connected but empty when I boot the system in the first
screenshot.

Marked as a duplicate, I was able to get apport to respond when I ran
software-center as root, and it seems to already be reported.

I reviewed the stderr output from Software Center when trying to install
or remove anything, and there appeared to be a problem with apport not
having privileges to write to /var/crash. I tried running it as root,
and got a usable report from that, which seems to be the same as this
one.
