Some Problem with my Thinkpad W510. But I have found a workaround for me:
You have to plug in the soudcard before you boot and you have to use the usb2.0
Port not the 3.0 port. I have no clue, why this is a difference but for me this
works. Nevertheless this sucks.

I've tested that, and I'm not sure it's minimized windows. It seems more to be
windows that are fullscreen that don't have decorations.

I upgraded a XEN VM from lucid to maverick.
Before the upgrade, then VM was able to mount NFS files systems from the
server.
After the upgrade mount_nfs4 was failing with ENXIO.

the problem is that .ico can only be up to 256x256 pixels. GDKPixbuf
returns an GError for that but eog is not catching the error nor telling
the user that the image should be resized, there's an upstream bug for

of my computers (!) They are both AMD64 and running auto-login, so I'm

While kubuntu 10.04 works fine, 10.10 has a problem getting an ip adress.

One work-around for this issue was added to the omap4 kernel (see

Removing the binaries is not sufficient, I am affraid. DKMS build fails,
and I have in make.log:

This is in reference to comments made for bug 643583 which was marked as
a duplicate of this bug:
(1) libvirt + sdl does work if the lxdm is used as lxdm writes
.Xauthority into the users home directory as expected by libvirt.
(2) A script like the following run with sudo might provide a work-
I am using gnome (ubuntu 10.10). Any KDE app I maximize and quit in this
state, when re-launched starts fullscreen (like kdesvn or kgraphviewer).
And for apps that have no enter/leave fullscreen its then impossible
to break out of this.
