I don't understand why you'd want to use MP3 anyway, it's vastly
inferior to Vorbis. The only reason I can think of is some kind of

If people actually listened, you wouldn't have this bug. The bug is in
gnome-media, not sound-juicer. The only reason why grip works is because
it doesn't use gnome-media's dialogue.
If you install the packages I have provided, the bug is fixed
completely. (apart from the resizing issue).

I never succeeded in installing, because I wasn't willing to spend the
time to fiddle with it. All I actually tried to do was run Ubuntu from
the CD, so the /etc/x11/xorg.conf was whatever was on the CD or figured
out dynamically. I can try again when I get home, but I'm not sure that

eog now has this, but other GTK+ print dialogue applications have a
Print Setup dialogue as well, where the page can be made portrait or
landscape. Having this in a separate dialogue seems wrong to me, as you

Actually, I don't get this bug any more on Feisty. What happens when I
press Ctrl+Alt+backspace is X goes, but gdm doesn't start at all. After
manually killing gdm and starting it again, the login process is fine.

sudo mount /dev/sda1 /mnt actually works, nothing is output. One issue
is that GNOME doesn't seem to recognise that this volume is mounted, it
doesn't come up in Nautilus or in the Places list.
The relevent parts of the output of sudo blkid is:
/dev/sda1: LABEL=LIFEDRIVE UUID=1234-5678
I realise that it is impossible to get the colours exactly the same, but
it seems as if the selected_bg_color:#FF6D0C is too bright, and this
causes the window border to quite orangey.
