doesn't work, I tried linphone with the following result:

For over four years I've been using a GeForce 7300 LE with a FSC P20
monitor at 1600x1200, connected via DVI. The display modelines were
written to xorg.conf back in the day. After hot-switching to a new
monitor which runs at 1680x10
You can easily reproduce it by adding --variant=buildd to the deboostrap
command. This is what pbuilder uses. The debootstrap command itself will
work, but it won't have apt-get in it and therefore pbuilder or other
tools which assume the presence of apt will fail.

without the fix.

In Ubuntu (karmic), running rcconf or update-rc.d is not enough to prevent a
service from starting up at boot time. Instead, service file names need to be
modified in /etc/init/ to not end in *.conf anymore.

with the empty strings in debconf and hence this report should be closed again.

value is written as the last value of each selection line, and that for

was taken from the cache, and therefore the size and MD5 sum of
Packages.bz2 didn't match anymore as it changed on the server and was
always retrieved from there. This causes debootstrap to fail. Looks like

This tool (the Karmic version) doesn't seem to get the caching of
package information files right. When I run debootstrap over apt-proxy
once, using ftp.de.debian.org as a backend, the directory /var/cache
/apt-proxy/debian/dists/squeeze/main/bi
Is anybody working on a patch already? I've just been hit by this issue
as well. My poor workaround is to run the debootstrap in /tmp.
