then tried updating to 24.04, with error message

for me I fixed it by not using that file `swap.img` and created new one called
`swapfile` as old versions. so it's working now.

the device is the Elan Microsystems touchscreen, running on my sony Vaio
ultrabook. it's not detected as an Xinput device, but it is listed in
lsusb. I've looked online, and I was told the best thing to do would be
to report the device to kernel devs.

After struggling for many days, I just found out that the actual bug is the
fact the direction of a locale is not specified in the locale definition file.
There is rather a strange way to specify visual direction of desktop for any
locale, and that is by translating the string "default:LTR"

I am trying to do localization of Ubuntu for Sindhi language. So far,
the locale file sd_PK has been included in Ubuntu and is part of the new
11.04. Sindhi keyboard is still not included but hopefully will.
Translation team is also working to translate Ubuntu into Sindhi.

The status is shown as "Fix released" but I am still unable to use it in
Ubuntu 10.04 after reinstalling the xkb-data package. I also downloaded
the iso of Ubuntu 10.10 and mounted it to see if the keyboard layout is
included in it. But it isn't there too. So what is the current status?
