My hardy install has just developed this bug.
It was working without error then I upgraded my computer with a new motherboard
and CPU

Switching to ndiswrapper driver helps: I get a wlan0 interface and the
connection works (at least in 802.11b mode).

Same problem: ZyXEL G-220-v2 USB wireless worked in Ubuntu 7.10
