seem to have lost the version of xfreerdp that works with RDP Gateways.
I may have to just do without a GUI and write up a bunch of little
scripts for each connection so I have that feature available.

Ok, this is funny, isn't it... It took me a day of sadness, but just
disabling every option on the Security page in the BIOS settings did the
trick. Now my computer is at high risk of being abused by evil free

Same here, but do not have mplayer installed.
I get this behaviour about 4 out of 10 times when waking up from
suspend, after switching to Vt1 and back I see the pointer again. Other
Vt's does not help? Noticed you use a signed kernel. I see this both in
CSM and Secure Boot mode.

Should also say that I'm basing this on using hda-jack-sense-test too. I
am running 13.04 with 3.8.0-30 kernel. It's been a problem for me with
all kernels on 13.04 (I've never run anything other than 13.04 as the
retina support apparently was tricky before this version).
