what happened to me : I had an update yesterday, did not reboot, and sound
kept working. This morning I started my computer, and I had no sound either
in pulseaudio. Pulseaudio could not find any devices. Using jack I could
have playback in music apps, like lmms and ardour, but no input

I use non-pulse applications, including Audacity and Dragon NaturallySpeaking
running under wine. I have tried disabling pulseaudio every way I know how.

I removed/purged PA away, alsamixer/Delta 66 wo
Is anyone else using an Ubuntu RT kernel in the 2.6.29 series and having
trouble getting incoming sound to work?
I think the sound is turned way down somehow and won't turn up.

I recently have ubuntu studio 9.04 on my Pc which is Pentium 4 with 1 Mb RAM
and decided to use the TERRATEC EWS 88 MT sound system card .. and I really
got myself a lot of problems I want to get rid of the old (onboard card)

I want to use wink with sound, but it's not happening. Any pointers on
