You can always leave media servers (and clients) down-revved, but you'll be

Hi,
We use BESR for backing up the c:\ drive of our Windows servers. It is very
good, backups are easy, restores work and management through the management
console is very easy.
The only real problems we have with it are that occasionally the service will

The filter works for me both in the Java and Windows gui at 6.5.3. Did
you update Java on the master server or your local Java client if you
are running off your workstation?

Hi Max-
I don't see what you're seeing.
I launch jnbSA on my 6.5.3 master server...
Activity Monitor node...
View --> Filter
Advanced tab
set the Field: to "Policy" ---> I get string comparisons like "starts
with" or "contains"

the new master and media server name is completely new.
besides bpmedia -movedb, and adding the FORCE_RESTORE_MEDIA_SERVER to the

OK, so you really want to know right ?
Its a numeric value. :-)

Hi Kai,
1. correct, no change in the image db since 4.5 up to 6.5
2. i would do a "bpmedia -movedb" afterwards, cause the new master will
