I tend not to use the msi file extension, but rather the .exe file
itself.
Is that not present?
Cant be the OS if its running ok - any other error messages in the event
log itself?

personal account gives an error since my home folder mapped drive

I've gotten this but I can't exactly remember how I fixed it. I would
try: Reboot, Delete everything in C:\Program Files\Veritas and run the
.msi installer file not the setup.exe
