numbers and got it to read it after a few tries. I tried it on my thermostat
and it did not read the digitals numbers. I also tried Seeing Ai and it did not

I'd suggest you download the free app called Boop Light Detector.
Run that first and see what it indicates for light over the items you want to
use Seeing AI on.
It gives off beeps and the faster and higher pitched, the brighter the light.
Then, as Donna suggested, make sure in the menu

I'm running IOS10.3.3 and for the past few days, Seeing AI hasn't
recognized anything. Do I need to adjust screen brightness, or turn on
a light, or anything? I have no usable vision, so am not sure how the
presence of, or lack of, a light source affects things.

As far as a Seeing AI goes I love it! I was able to scan and read all of my
mail the other day and believe you me I had quite a pile, with short text. It
worked very well. Yes, there were glitches but I was able to work through them.
And using Documents, I have found that even
. When Seeing AI works, it works really well,
and it's extremely helpful to have it maintain the format of a document. It
seems to have the most trouble with smaller, non 8x11 documents like
receipts. Useful, but still has a ways to go.

It would also be nice to be able to import pictures from dropbox or the web and
have seeing AI tell us what it thinks the picture is.
Getting as close as it could of a description. Based on objects or other thinks

Any picture you have in dropbox can be sent to Seeing AI. Here are the steps
you must take to send a picture to S-AI.
1. Open the folder where you have photos stored in dropbox.
2. locate a photo and DT (double tap)
3. choose share
4. DT "open in"
