At first the new Villalobos album seemed a bit bland to me, but with repeated listens and a newly descended Fall, the record has become new again. Great sounds and textures everywhere, and a woozy, melancholy vibe prevails. Definitely one of my favorites of the year of any genre. Anyone have any profound thoughts on this record? Man WHY? The new Choice - A Collection Of Classics on azuli is compiled by Derrick Carter. The first track on it is ULTRA rare master jay and michael d - T.S.O.B. (the track is somtimes called ready to rock). But he used the vocal verion, and that one is allready re-issued. We all want the INSTRUMENTAL, don´t we?? Oh, also picked up the Scott Ferguson 'Gnosis EP' on Ferris Park, which is
nothing ground breaking, but contains some nice slow groovers. Finally got
my copy of C2C4 on Moxie as well. Never noticed that the synth bloops
throughout seem to dip and dive in pitch (in the sample itself). Very weird.
Apologies if this isn't all explicitly [313]. I'm getting really tired of
hearing that the record industry is in a state of decline. All the shops I
frequent, and the rate at which things sell out indicate anything but to me.
I couldn't buy all the new releases I want if my salary was doubled.
