Yes. I haven't heard it on anything but my headphones, it sounds OK.
Sort of ravey. I quite like the vocal but some people can't stand it.

It's alright, it has some nice sounds in it but I don't think it's that
special. Has anybody heard it out? Is it actually mind-melting?

Anyone heard his mix of X-Press 2's Kill 100?

Actually the original of that song is kinda proggy. The lyrics are
quite interesting though.

I didn't realise Jonny was still on the list. Haven't seen any posts from him

the list is poorer for it.

Looking forward to checking the show.

(313) Louis Haiman /Chris Schubert/ Bill VanLoo

2006-11-13 Thread theREALmxyzptlk

Has the new Haiman been mentioned on the list yet?
It really, really should be. Louis has outdone himself. Deep, lush
Detroity-techno.
I know Chris Schubert's debut was discussed briefly (redefines
'pop-ambient' with -imho- great success) and I wholeheartedly agree with
the positive assessments.

Fwdthought is really dishing up some lovely music.
Big 'hats-off' to Mr. Haiman.
And while I'm at it, Bill VanLoo's Chromedecay pt.2 is a really fine
piece of work as well. It's not straight 313, but has 2 really fine,
deep, pure-this-listy tracks on it which will make you salivate - along
with the rest of his work, which moves through other genres, but is
definitely a worthy acquisition.

(313) Dublin, January

2006-11-13 Thread kent williams

Some friends of mine recently moved from Paris to Dublin, and have
offered me a room for a visit, and so I'm trying to pick dates for a
'low season' visit. Of course I'd love to meet up with the Dublin
313'ers, but here's a more specific question -- are there any events
planned for January/February that I should try and set up the trip
around?

I'm also available for Live/Traktor DJ sets, anywhere from your living
room on up...

Thanks! Reply offlist -- or onlist if you think it's relevant.

might do something, and maybe ian if he don't go proggy. But go for neil

Couldn't agree more. Best thing to happen to electronic music in years.
Louis Haiman Is a Man among boys on the techno tip. And Chris Schubert is
just 23 years old, imagine what kinda music he'll be making 5 - 10 years
from now. All release's well above par on the Fwdthought label. MUCH
respect.

(313) Tristan Watkins ABCD1112

2006-11-13 Thread Tristan Watkins
Recorded this yesterday. It's got a bit more drift than I'd like and a
couple of mixes I want back, but it should do the trick. It's a collection
of some of the stuff I've played from my last three gigs, since only one of
those sets was recorded, and that one really didn't come out like I wanted
it to. It's a pretty wide range of stuff with a focus on acid, dub, older
house and some newer techno. Something like that I guess. Clocks in at just
under 2 1/2 hours. Encoded at 192 Kbps CBR. Get it here:
