(313) Pub - Summer
Looks very promising. Anyone heard this one yet? http://www.ustem.org/dopejams/index.php?page=shop.product_detailsflypage=shop.flypageproduct_id=3877option=com_virtuemartItemid=33vmcchk=1Itemid=33
Re: (313) Pub - Summer
would be nice to hear more than 30 seconds. The description is pretty wordy though, and what is solid focus of reiteration? Seems like the whole paragraph aims to say listen guys, really, it's not too repetitive, it's arty, yea, arty... Sounds like it might a good EP though. I am not too familiar, so I might just be putting a foot in my mouth as I often do. On Tue, Apr 14, 2009 at 7:35 AM, Wibo Lammerts wibo...@gmail.com wrote: Looks very promising. He's been pretty prolific since then, working on his ampoule label (www.ampoulerecords.com) and has just finished releasing a limited edition of 10 mini-cds, the Making Trakcx series. He pretty much only produces ambient stuff, but also puts out more left-field acidy stuff under various aliases on the Talent Hoover label, mainly as luck Easy. His best work imo is the LP do you ever regret pantomime on ampoule. The track above (not 100% sure it's a legit re-release, but I could be wrong) is also available on CD, with some excellent re-mixes (Vladislav Delay) and is currently available from the ampoule web site, most of his back catalogue is pretty hard to find as the ampoule/Talent Hoover releases are very limited. Summer is a classic though! Alan in Glasgow

Will try to dig it out and play it on a future show (longer than 30 seconds, I promise :)). Andrew -- Andrew Duke In The Mix weekly mixshow (est. 1987), excl. RE: (313) Pub - Summer
This just got me going to look at the Vertical Form catalogue (to see Pub was on a Vertical Form comp I have). I never realised they put out so much. To those not in the UK a record or e-mail with the title Pub : Summer just as we've had our first warm weather of the year and a holiday weekend is, for me anyway, evoking a happy vision of the future which I hope is realised! -Original Message- From: AlanM [mailto:alanmorriso...@googlemail.com] Sent: 14 April 2009 14:35 To: 313 Subject: Re: (313) Pub - Summer Looks very promising. (313) Most OT post ever...
...and only relevant to those in London so let me trouble you no more if that's not you. If it is I'm on the scrounge for a favour for a friend of mine down there that is looking to film within an office environment on Thursday Let me know if anyone can help. Ta. And just to put some relevance in - I might come down on the 4th or 5th June - anyone know of anything good on then?

(313) Walt Jones, Dave Whiteside, Dave Peoples? Dow Records
Going through the vinyl archives looking for the Pub records on Vertical Form and just stumbled upon my cache of Dow Records catalog. Anyone know what Walter Jones (Walt J), Dave Whiteside (Endow), and Dave Peoples are up to these days? I used to talk to them on the phone back in the days when the mixshow was syndicated but have totally lost touch since. Updates? Andrew -- Andrew Duke In The Mix weekly mixshow (est. 1987), excl. Hey Andrew, I asked the same a couple of times in recent years but I'm pretty sure there's no news. Around 2003 I mistook another Walter Jones for Walt J and got excited, but they're different people. Shame. 'Twas a good label! Someone from 313 mentioned that Walt J became devoutly religious and no longer makes music/ceased label operations around that time, iirc.
