Upcoming Metamorphic release
Hello 313 list members,Hope all are healthy and happy during this time! I wanted to share with the list the upcoming release on my label Metamorphic, should be hitting the stores any day now. Pretty sure it meets the list criteria and Kent gave me the green light to go ahead and share. It's by a new producer from London called Mirror Touch and has a remix on there by myself. Check the Soundcloud link below for the EP, it's gonna be vinyl only for a month or so and then will enter the digital realm after that. Hope you dig!!---Danhttps://soundcloud.com/metamorphic-recordings/sets/met038-mirror-touch-balancing-ep
repress of Titonton Endorphin EP on Metamorphic
Hey All, hope this is allowed but I thought this list (which I have been subbed to since, what? the start???) would appreciate hearing about the repress of Titonton's Endorphin EP, it's been remastered from the original DATs and repressed to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the original release. Hope you dig! Here are some clipshttps://soundcloud.com/metamorphic-recordings/sets/titonton-endorphin-ep-clips

All of us who have been following Detroit Techno since the 1990s know of the huge contribution from the Ohio crew, and anything new from Metamorphic is fantastic news.I'm excited for more Titonton music. Claude Young ...going back
The 313 (connection) Oh how I love all the early Claude Young house projects, on labels like Dow, Utensil & Serious Grooves etc. They embodied the rawness of Detroit at that time (92-95?). Does anyone else have favorites from that timeframe by "the 2nd or 3rd Wave Artists" ? One of my all time favorites is the first Serious Grooves under his Lowkey guise (a collaboration with Santonio) "Ranforest" & "Love Magic". All this nostalgia has got me thinking. Does anyone have any old mixes of Claude off the Radio back in (94-95?) would love to trade tapes or something else. Smiles all around, David > for the life of me I cant remember the original. its been used by altern8 > and (for 313 content) claude young on the 'dub street posse' ep >
Re: [313] technasia & black water
Having both heard Amil from Technasia Dj and been in contact with him ever since "Force" was released. All I can say is, like their music his selection and Dj style are impeccable. Props to Green Galactic for having Amil throw down at their intimate event in Miami. These two guys (Amil & Charles) are all about quality and not just pumping out record after record. Other labels they run are Star Tracks and Sino. I believe he said Mr. John Tejada was one of the forthcoming releases on Sino. With all this in mind I would put them at the top of your list of people to go see and/or book for a gig.(if anyone needs their booking contact I can forward that on) While on the subject of good labels and producers I wonder how many people on this list were feeling Octave One "Black Water". I know I played it to death in both house and techno sets. It also was the one track that really stood out the last time I heard Jeff Mills play here in Toronto. Finally fresh 12" releases from the Round Table family the new Format 006 and Chair 011 for all underground heads around the world. Re: [313] Titonton
On a related note to all the real techno junkies. Trace Elements Vol. 1 (LEVEL 1203) Which has been unavailable for almost 5 years, has received an extremely limited repress. It is available from Sonic Groove (NY) & Formic (Germany) these are two of the companies that have supported the label since its inception and these are the companies that continue to support it plus many other underground labels. Though it doesn't contain it's original sleeve art, the labels are the same. Featuring some of the earliest works from Titonton, Todd Sines, Archetype and lastly the coveted track by M.C. Jones "Gleek" Morgan Geist, Titonton Duvante & John Tejada are three of the most original and constantly evolving artist and I would suggest that everyone investigate not only their current output but also ALL of their past releases. Title : Don't you want it :) one of my favorites on Happy/Soul City I think most people overlook much of Mad Mikes house projects. Another of my favorites are the instrumental and dub of "Lift me up" by Paula McPheirson on Night Groove Records circa '94. Just one of the many side labels from UR/Submerge. If I am not mistaken UR - 21 "Crime Report" was the sampler off the interstellar fugitives LP and the tracks on this were either different mixes of tracks on the LP or not on the triple vinyl at all. Re: [313] minimal mispress
I have this and it is one of my most treasured Detroit mispresses. I actually never realized it was the wrong record until I got in a heated debate with a friend of mine who was running a shop in Toronto at the time. After I finally gave in to the fact that their was another version I RAN (runrun...run...run) to Detroit to pick up a copy of the correct version that following weekend. My Mills collection is still at least one record short because I am missing that one off house label he started (can't remember the name) which I have been looking for since '94. The worst part of the story is Frankie Bones came to my record shop two years ago and found a copy in our basement. :( I have never seen either of these original presses since I picked them up, with the exception of the M-Plant repress that was different that both.
