J.T. wrote a couple of months ago (Oct 18, 2006)
regarding the rerelease of convextion - miranda:

If the matrix release doesn't go forward -- or perhaps before it goes
forward -- there will be a re-release on down low with only the original
track and a new track, mastered at d&m, just 300 copies or so. I kinda like
this idea since tho it would be a re-release, the re-release would be even
more rare, both old and new versions would be special..but we'll see what
happens.

just dug this old mail up to ask a question.

will 'miranda' be rereleased through downlow or will it
only be rereleased through matrix? pre-orders on the
matrix rerelease are huge from wat i've heard, so i should
probably preorder it now. on the other hand i'd rather
not buy a 2x12" when i can get the same track on a 12"
especially when the 12" is a really good pressing.

Agreed, with all that.

Enjoy Landstrumm! He's sick live. You Carolinans should make the journey
just to watch him thoroughly abuse his Machinedrum. It's worth it.

rarity is less relevent to me, i think good music should be available!
all the remixes dont really appeal to me though, and i hate buying a
double pack for one track. the d+m mastering job would certainly be a
nice quality, as well. i like the idea of you guys doing the rerelease
with a previously unreleased cut with the remixes on the matrix label
(since that way if you want the rmxs you can get them, otherwise you
wont).

ok, im probably not being too helpful here but.
i would love to have both!

first the 2x12 hoping that it would generate enough revenue to then release
the limited edition, but i dont know if it would be commercially viable.

if i MUST choose, i think i would go for the limited since it appeals to the
collector fetish in me and i dont dj.

I would definitely prefer a 300 copy, well mastered black vinyl
pressing on Downlow, with the original plus a new track. No need for
remixes of the great original me thinks.

Oh, and preferably this year :)

Covert isn't the only place I've seen this re-release tipped. Same info as
Covert have too. Yay! Geeked to hear the Deep Chord mix too.
