That's right, she's famous for being famous...mind you, she has been known to hang out at Manumission, which clearly entitles her to be a DJ ;) she also designs leather bikinis (kind of like solar powered torches?) > I'm guessing it is Mick Jagger's daughter. Oh, yes, Manumission. That discerning club... Why do people always talk about Paradise Garage and Music Institute when there's the revered Manumission. ;) Actually, to be far to rock star kids, Paul Kelly's son Declan is one of Melbourne's best DJs and has a musical knowledge that belies his years - and he's a lovely guy. He's worked hard and never traded on association. I think few know he's Kelly's son, though it's not a secret. -- >From: "Dan Bean" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >To: 313@hyperreal.org >Subject: Re: (313) Jade Jagger was Re: (313) Seen It All? >Date: Wed, 15 Jun 2005 12:12 AM > > That's right, she's famous for being famous...mind you, she has been known > to hang out at Manumission, which clearly entitles her to be a DJ ;) > > she also designs leather bikinis (kind of like solar powered torches?)

Ibiza's relevant only for Europeans, Aussies don't go to Ibiza, we have Bali (apparently). > I was surprised/saddened by how many people in Detroit asked me whether I'd > been to Ibiza.

Now that you mentioned it, I've been getting a whole lotta mileage out of Declan and his DJ partner Richard Campbell's website of late - http://www.r-n-d.net/ Plenty of mixtape gold in the Sounds section, not least of which are the couple of R'n'D mixes at the bottom of the page... They have a track lined up for a Yoruba Records comp right? Think it's due out next month. Andy

haha, get you! actually I thought it was about music biz gangsters making sh*tloads of cash selling dodgy music and lifestyles to ignorant clubbers, but I've never been so what the hell would I know! I was surprised/saddened by how many people in Detroit asked me whether I'd been to Ibiza. I was tempted to launch into rants about 'The White Isle', but somehow I couldn't get the energy. My weirdest conversation by far was with the bloke who came to change the tire on my car. For the record, that's not the sort of thing that I'd normally get other people to do, but it was a hire care and there was some kind of weird mechanism to release the spare tire that I couldn't figure out, anyway... Tyre Guy: So, where you from man? Me: The UK TG: The Ukraine? Me: No, England. TG: Oh Man, I LOVE England, I've always wanted to visit! Me: Really, why's that? TG: Phil Collins man! I love that guy, ever since susudio I been checking his sh*t for real! Me: Are you sure? TG: Oh yes, he da man! Hey, you know him or sumink? Me: No, not really, I think he's a tax exile in Barbados these days anyway. Tyre Guy looked quite upset about this. I think he was hoping to pop round to his house and say hello. > >she also designs leather bikinis (kind of like solar powered torches?) > > It's Ibiza. Nobody swims in Ibiza.
