Did you see the URB write-up that went with this expanded line-up?
Loads of accolades for the rest of the line-up, then ends with a
derogatory series of remarks about the 3 Detroit names they mentioned.
Names they claim spend 51 weeks of the year not in the spotlight, and
although the sets will be excellent, you will likely only hear them if
you accidentally walked into the area... as if no one would search out
to hear a set by Huckaby or Minx. Outrageous!

Mike Huckaby is the Detroit DJ I think I've seen more times than
anyone besides Terrence Parker -- mostly because he's played here in
Iowa at least 3 times I remember. On festival weekends in the past,
there have usually been 3 or 4 opportunities to see him. But I will
never get tired of his sets. You won't see anyone DJ ever who can
show up and rock it like him, time and time again.

Ah, the irony ... the URB write-up was actually done by (313)'s
very own [EMAIL PROTECTED], Josh Glazer.

I'll let him reply if he wants, but let's just say for now that
you are totally misreading his article.

I think it was more of a subtle diss of the average URB reader than a
diss of the Detroit DJs.
At least I read it that way.

And ya outed Josh -- he's been a lurker for years. Word is he's
marrying Doris Payer, the redoubtable Doris Non-Woo (to contrast with
Doris Woo, Tony Child's wife), old school mw-raver

I knew I recognized the name, so I'll call him out myself... Glazer,
I can't believe you would write crap like that...

Greg, if as you say, I am misreading it, I wonder what planet you
were reading it on, because I reread it a couple of times, and there
was no misreading it... at least not in my mind nor a few friends of
mine who are here and in the UK and in Belgium and in NY... we were
all pissed off about it... and if Glazer was trying to be sarcastic
as someone else said, he seriously needs to work on his writing
skills, cos the only people I know who saw any humor in it are the two
people on this list that know him... everyone else thought Glazer was
ignorant of anything relating to good music.

2 cents.
