Re: (313) New Kelli Hand + Kraftwerk stuff
Yes, it is finally coming out on 27.7. on Mute. I have on track on it (Octex - Computer Love), which I made ~ 2 years ago, when it was first suppose to be released, but some artists were really late with their contributions...:) Haven't heard the entire compilation, but I think there should be some nice tracks on it. (313) New Kelli Hand + Kraftwerk stuff
Speaking of new stuff, someone gave me the new Kelli Hand 12 on Tuesday. It's on Third Ear and is no. 1 in their new 'Producer's' series. Not sure when it's out or who is next. Not quite what I was expecting (last thing of hers I listened to was that Tresor LP with 'The Creator' on it. Am liking it though, it's in a beatdown/KDJ vein and there's one particularly good cut called 'Moving On'. Certainly in the fine tradition of somewaht skewed Detroit house. Also got a promo called Trans Slovenian Express. It's remixes of Kraftwerk tracks by Slovenian producers. I haven't had a chance to listen to it yet, but according to the blurb Laibach have decided not to remix a Kraftwerk track. Instead they've done one of their tracks as if Kraftwerk had remixed them. Don't know about the rest of you, but I thought that was bloody impertinent, as if Kraftwerk would remix Laibach! Glad to hear all London peeps are OK.

This dates to the mid-90s, I think. Is it getting a re-release or something? I picked up a promo copy in a used record store in Reno when I was 17 or 18. Definitely an interesting record. I'm fond of the speed metal version of Robots. -bp

Re: (313) New Kelli Hand + Kraftwerk stuff
Well I just had a listen, and my favourite track on the sampler is the Torul version of 'It's More Fun To Compute'. Jokes about impertinence aside, I found the Laibach track a bit pompous and not that interesting musically. That is of course just my opinion. Agree with Greg about the Touchin' Bass stuff, that's great label that doesn't seem to get the props it deserves, at least as far as I can tell. Mind you, Andrea Parker must be doing something right because they've managed to get quite a few releases out. Good to see her working with David Morley again as well, one of my favourite electronic music ombinations.
