Cool stuff but I'm still waiting for a killer Philpot record.

Anybody happen to know the origin of the black revolutionaries shout
out on the moodymann remix of sasha dive? its the same as on Abacus -
Black Thanks from the 90s.

This ornaments record I want to love, but feels a little done to me
right now. like, do you remember how it used to be, blah blah blah

The reggie dokes was another tortured moment at the record store but I
passed on it. will probably pick it up digitally. I'm way more digging
his one on the Prime numbers comp.
http://www.discogs.com/release/1511563.

I pick up a fair amount of philpot releases, its just that they have
so much potential to take it further IMO. some of the tracks are just
too moody and directionless for me.

I'm really in love with the Dokes single. Such sweet melodies, and sounds
that really grow on you. The songs are structured really well, which might
be hard to discern from just a quick sampling.

what he said. many of the timbres alone are drastically diverse from
90% of house music. definitely in the running for record of the year.
