RE: (313) the face may 1988?
And in another little tweak to the info put on here I don't know of a KMS remix of any of her tracks (though there may be one) but her single "Fine Time" had a Juan produced track; "Dream" on the b side, which I love & still play from time to time. In fact due to this I was surprised she wasn't better known on here, maybe it's just me that thinks it's great! I did like a couple of the tracks (Where Has All The Love Gone and Got To Share) off her album at the time too. She sang on Coldcut's first (I think) single too. > -Original Message- > From: Odeluga, Ken [mailto:ken.odel...@dowjones.com] > Sent: 15 June 2010 7:22 > To: 'Alex Lugo'; Joe Marougi > Cc: 313 > Subject: RE: (313) the face may 1988? > > > Somewhere along the line you chaps have become hopelessly confused, I'm > afraid to say. > > 1. Indeed - in my post-industrial apocalyptic neo-media sedated mind ala Gibson and MacLuhan, I've managed to confabulate the names of one pop singer called Yazz, a pop group with two names [one for the UK and one for the US] with two trade names of an oral contraceptive produced by a German company [one for the UK, one for the US]. http://pharma.bayer.com/scripts/pages/en/news_room/news_room/news_room89.php Beat that. Don't take them by the way, they're both the subject of US class action. Hold on. Alison Moyet was the vocalist for Yaz ("Situation", "State Farm", "Nobody's Diary", "Don't Go", etc), as they were called here in the US. The woman on the cover of that issue of The Face is not Alison Moyet. According to discogs, her name is Yasmin Evans: http://www.discogs.com/artist/Yazz?anv=Yaz {}0+>| On 6/14/2010 3:41 PM, James Hancock wrote: alsion moyet yes but it is yazoo not yaz http://www.flickr.com/photos/alex-arthur/ James A Hancock ja...@apesound.dk +45 30824523 On 14 Jun 2010, at 21:36, Danielle Scott wrote: I don't mean to nitpick but her las name is spelled 'Moyet'. -ds On 6/14/10, Tim Baker wrote: Allison Moyer from Yaz Tim Baker Real Estate-Elephanthaus Recs. 2544 W.
