RE: [313] every freakin day
I have one by DJ Funk which features a sampled breakbeat, much like an old UK hardcore track... it goes into a loop of feel it, feel it, feel it... However, the one I'm after is in much more of a Detroit mould, ominous and electronic. DJ Funk pitches up the vocal to fit it with the beat, while the one I want (heard it on a 12 Tech Mob mixtape) actually slows them down, making it much sleazier, and features a noise not entirely dissimilar to the laser effect in Kraftwerk's Home Computer... | -Original Message- | From: Tosh Cooey [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] | Sent: Friday, October 26, 2001 5:01 PM | To: 313@hyperreal.org | Subject: [313] every freakin day | | | who did that track? deeon? | | what's the name of it? | | thanks!! | | Google isn't much help | | Tosh | | - | To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] | For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] | - To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Not much beats the sheer vulgar genius of: Sit on my face, let me guess your weight... Damn I miss Detroit radio. RE: [313] every freakin day rob hood question
Its DJ Assault - I think its called Technofreak - forget the name of the ep though. Also following on from my queries about the Mills Hardwax releases, anyone have any comments on two Rob Hood releases on Hardwax - 'Submerged' under the Missing Channel guise and - 'The Force of One' 12s. Tom Churchill wrote on Fri, 26 Oct 2001 about following: who did that track? deeon? what's the name of it? I think DJ Funk who did a 'cover' of Jodeci's 'Freak n You' MK did house remixes for the Jodeci release, pretty much all in Nightcrawlers style. I'm not sure if these remixes were ever released but one of them was on Ministry of Sound Masters at Work collection. The mix isn't very special but it's kind of porn-groovey in it's own style, especially when not played for too long :) sakke -- The number of Unix installations has grown to 10, with more expected. --The Unix Programmer's Manual, 2nd Edition, June, 1972 - To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
