Maybe it's not techno, but what is techno? I'd roll with: Ayro John Arnold Painted Pictures Matthew Dear Dabrye Herbert Rob Hood Dan Bell Matt Abbott
RE: (313) Live Techno ?
I saw 2 amazing live (?) techno acts last year. I don't suppose you really need me to mention Kraftwerk The other was Scion doing their Arranging and Processing of Basic Channel Live thing. As the title implies whether that's a 'live' thing or a 'PC DJ' thing I guess can be debated (if you think it needs debating, you could just enjoy!). Anyway they'd be on my list - contact Hardwax if you want to get hold of them.

After seeing Galaxy to Galaxy/Los Hermanos perform live here in Belgium, I would have to offer that as the most amazing show I've ever seen (in the history of mankind). That is both very techno, and very live... Dense. I was recently reminded of when the Advent played in NZ live. We did the sound for them in this large warehouse in Wellington. They were stunning, but the PA for them was really bad, alot of their work was lost to bad acoustics. Re: (313) Live Techno ?
I vote for Fabrice Lig. That or on a slightly less techno front...Underworld. Yea ' very much up for Underworld. My brother used to be their Video Tech, so I've had an inside look at a lot of their production. Pretty cool show, and very much like their tunes. What does Fabrice Lig run I realize most people make excellent music, but the stage factor is rather important in this instance .. Someone who is prepared to bring some production elements ' Visual ' performance / presence What is the verdict on Ritchies Hawtin .. the reports from his Mutek show last year were a bit confused. I wasn't sure if people expected more ' or didn't realize what they got .. .turnstyle

I just saw the Technoir guys from Pittsburgh play. Shawn Rudiman etc. that was a -great- show. Shawn does a good job on his own, but together they were so much better. IMHO Stewart's shows have never left my jaw on the floor. The only LIVE pa i've seen that has left me bulldozed was KDJ and Taj Bell at the Planet E party, DEMF one I believe. --- George Jones - Logic7 [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: There's always Stewart Walker. My questions to every and anyone has anybody out their really seen some of the truly good performers who actually play keyboards and do vocals live it is a true treat.
