That Andres track Reality on KDJ was one of the best cuts in that
style to come out last year, IMHO. Can't wait to hear more! A
double-pack, wow.

Forgot to mention in my original post that Shades of Jae has also been
re-released with a track from You can dance if you want to on the b-side.
He's really taking the piss now, that's 3 different versions of what looks
like the same record!

but how does it *sound* ? Same or different?

U Can Dance if U Want 2 -- the whole concept is a remake/remix effort,
it's a prince song that he's redone (all the critics love U in new
york). Thus all the diff. versions of it, using some or another element
of the original. The original doublepack on KDJ of this (with the
X-rated pics and no credits on the label, if I recall) has many versions
of the track on it. I don't think he's taking the piss w/ that track,
the whole concept is variations on the theme.

It's prob. a good thing for people who missed the original cause those
copies are long gone now...

I don't have the original of you can dance if you want to so I don't know
if it has already been released. But I do have a recently re-released copy
of In loving mememory that has the same version of the track on it on the
B-side.

It's quite a long track with a recurring sax loop and Yeah and A
vocal samples. Does that remind you of any of the original versions?

When I said he was taking the piss I didn't mean by re-releasing old
material, I was talking about releasing different versions of eps but not
marking them as being different. I think he has done this with the Small
black church ep as well, I don't know which tracks have been changed on it
though.

Just got the new Andres double on kdj (kdj 26) and it's fantastic, far
better than the his other 3 ep's so far. 8 tracks no titles or info of any
kind on the label apart the word Andres.

Man, this sounds good. I thought Material World/Reality was excellent, right
up my alley ;-) What are the other 2 EPs? What about a KDJ discog, anyone?
(URL)?

Could someone tell me who Andres is? Is it just moodyman under a different
name? And if it is't, has he recorded for other labels?

Yeah, I'd like to know too! Anyone got more info on Andres?

Respect

I just did a KDJ discog. for Collin @ 'Amazing Discographies'.
ad.techno.org

It should be up in the next update.

Does anybody have the details for the first two KDJ releases?
