RE: [313] Dream Sequence?
Wha? Tresor says across this all-new double CD this is volume 3. I've checked all the Dream Sequence releases and this is not a re-release. If you're positive I'll check with the Tresor rep but I think you're info is wrong. Fred From: Jongsma, K.J. To: 313@hyperreal.org Subject: RE: [313] Dream Sequence? RE: [313] Dream Sequence?
I think imma have to correct you on that one. There was indeed a re-release of the Dream Sequence LP a while ago, but only a few weeks back Tresor released a new Dream Sequence EP with three tracks, and this week or next week will see the release of a new dream sequence LP, which I saw on CD last weekend in Muenster DE. The EP contained two rather mediocre tracks and one storming track in typical Blake style, co-produced by Trevor Rockliffe. Yep, the first Dream Sequence wasn't his best work for me as well, I prefer the stuff he did before that on Incognito, KMS, UR or his EP's on UK's Logic Records. Ermm, no it's not! Tresor 160 is the new album by Blake! It's Dreamsequence III The Collective. It should be out by now. There is a 12 preceding it: FM Disko. That one is already out. Haye! can someone post me a review on Dream Sequence album on Tresor (i think it is Tresor 160) and also some more info on this artist, please? Well, it seems most people are not very fond of Dream Sequence, but it's in my quick-access shelf... The one I have is Tresor 149, though. There are two (well, actualy, three) tracks there that stand out and make the album worth buying allmost for themselves: Ghost, Adrenalin and Dark Basse. The other tracks are a bit left behind by these. You better get yourself ready for some really old-school techno sound, this stuff *does* sound like it was made 10 years ago. It reminds me a lot of the music that was around by the time Good Life came out. Sometimes it looks to be a bit Chicago influenced too, simple catchy mellodies (sometimes too simple...) and pumping rhythms. It'll sound like hell to you if you're not into that kind of sound, though. Ghost's the best track for me, by far, but I don't think I'll really hear it in a club in my lifetime... :-) Lay Unconditional Empowerment http://barkingcat.org/counterforce
