I've heard that too (just didn't want to be the first to say it... heh), she
was in Chicago a couple of years ago at Excalibur or Aura, I think... a
couple of my friends went and were really disappointed with her DJ
performance. M, but she and Deee-lite sure put out some good tracks
though. She was quite the diva. Everyone remembers "Groove Is In The
Heart," but my personal fave would have to be "What Is Love." :)

You you can definitely put Kier in the column of good ones...

Used to see her out here in NYC a lot back in the nineties...she is such a
sweetie. Way back when I was working at Limelight I remember her
getting out on the floor and getting down with the crowd quite a bit.

I hear she can't DJ worth a lick though;-)

Cheers,

2002-05-08 Thread Malcolm J. McAtee
There were some releases on Gerald's Juice Box Label that were definetley
headed in the drum and bass direction. The tempo was a lot slower than it
is these days but faster than you standard house tune.

He probably invented the "drum and bass" genre (along w/ 4hero)
Sort of intelligent 'ardkore

As far as I know, a Guy Called Gerald has been doing jungle only since he
