Im down with the Vince Watson CD. A lot better than his older stuff on
Rotation and the BioSphere album which were ok, but nowhere near as deep as
the fractured, melodic outer space yearnings coming out his new joint. Best
bit of techno Ive heard in a while if Im honest.

 fun.

 Blacklabel CD on Blacklabel
 Vince Watson CD on Headspace

Don't think I have any new records to add, I'm proper broke. The cd's are
 nice though! Recommended.

So, asks the question - anything else along these lines coming out lately?
Doesn't seem to be, maybe I'm sleeping though - that's likely.

Did anyone pick this NSI record up?

I have one saved in my bag at the shop. It's weird, it's got Rob Hood style
off kilter minimalism, with jazz piano style stabs over the top, all very
off kilter. one for the abstract floors for sure. not heard it out yet

I like it alot too! There's lots of stuff thrown in there, kind of detroit
type techno, electro, italo, pop, punkfunk style you can sort of tell
the influences. I think it's quite fresh! certainly doesn't sound like alot
else for sure, good work I reckon.

Well not to jump the gun too early I got a few things due out this year.
Next month sees the re-release of the Splinterfaction remix 12, then
straight after that i got a 12 from a Swedish collective called Concrete
Soul who did a PA last year in London at the Digital Soul/Outlet party and
features WildPlanet and a splendid mix from our very own Brien Prince. Then
I got 2 pure techno EPs that are absolutly killing me on CDR at the mo!
Think Mad Mike travelling back in time to record with Kenny Larkin in 1990
and you are halfway there. :)

RE: (313) Martins Bag

2005-02-17 Thread alex . bond

Well, feeling left out, I went to the record shop at lunch.

Big pile of stuff to listen to.

3 x new DJ Bone records, one 10, 2 12's. One side of the ten (longevity 3)
is just a sped up liquid liquid sample. Saved one of the 12's to buy, I
like side A of Modern Melodies, sounds ace at minus 7. Gawd knows how you
play it at the right speed, but, yeah, sounds good slower.

Blue Krak Trax. Good acid, but not my bag at all. Is this the one
Jason/Francis/David were speaking of? Don't know, but, yeah, not into this.

New Harmonie Park. 3 tracker by Rick Wade. Sounded nic, just flicked
through, typical R.Wade on first listen, usual high quality deep house.
If you like Ricks stuff, you'll like this I'm sure.

Some 'italian' thing on Relish - a 12. Yep, sounds Italian, and old. Not
bad mind, will try that one again for sure.

think I listened to something else, cant remember what though.

i finally picked up two of his more obscure records this week, the
one on A Touch of Class and the one on Viva. the ATOC one is kinda
weird sounding for rick, and the viva one is kind of typical
except for the track daddy's groove which might be the most
energetic rick wade record ive heard. i cant wait to drop that one.

i just pointed mr bond to a place on ebay that i got mine from
that has 2 left, though it might be cheaper for shipping if you
get them from the label if they actually have them.

the 3 most pbscure of his records are this one, the A Touch of
Class one, and the one on Out of the Box which i still dont have.
now i think all im missing is that one and the early HP records, i
have all the funky chocolates, the mgs, the chord 44, both
abstract fusions that have his tracks on them, tracks from the
park, all the music is stuff, and the m3 one. oh yeah, im missing
night trackin too, but that one will be the most difficult to
find i bet.

Hi Robin,
Viva is a House label based out of Seattle Washington, about 3 hours
from where I'm at.

The Rick Wade one is really one of the only one on the label that I like,
but it's a good one. I think I might have 2 copies if the Viva shop
doesn't ship over there.
