Seconded. I should have added that to my tops for 2000. That whole event was
special. Someone posted the photo's of Mills chatting with Jarre before it
started to the front Kraftwerk, to the left Mills, to the right Bowie

Hi there.

Oliver from Germany here. New to the list as well.

Here is my top tune of 2002:
Kraftwerk Live in Paris 26-09-2002 and Luxembourg 29-09-2002 playing the DJ
Rolando/UR version of Expo 2000.
An unforgettable event.

Welcome Bren to the list :)

nice selection there, 2,4,5 and 15 would be on my list ( sorry but I just
haven't had time to do one, so here's 5 off the top of my head ones.

1. The Advent - Recreactions - Steve Rachmand Remix
2. Marco Carola - Question 9
3. Paul Mac - Primate 69 - Ben Sims Remix (same old Sims but it just makes
me smile and feel like I'm in Spain, a the sun..)
4. Grain ( aka Arthur smith) no title just FAT CAT 041
5. Danilo Vigorito - Southsoul Appendix D

I am though a little confused about 10. I just don't think it was never as
good as the Intec 12 he did, Where's the Sun or something like that. Its
weird but everyone raved about this Bryan Zentz one and I really could not
get it, maybe me..

But nice slection anyhow and i hope the 313 list serves you well.

I hope you don't mind me saying but I just could not help expressing my view
:)

them:

3. Codec Flexor - Time has changed (art of perception)
4. Danilo Vigorito - Imaginary Boy Pt 1. (zenit)
5. Marco Carola - Southsoul Appendix C (b side) (southsoul)
6. Slam - Virtuoso (Slam remix) (soma)
7. Kiko - Monique (David Caretta remix)(goodlife)
8. Heiko Laux - Ornaments (synthesized)(kanzleramt)
9. Mateo Murphy - Love Express (Chris Liebing remix)(turbo)
10. Bryan Zentz - Bushido (intec)
11. Technasia - Acid Storm (sino)
12. Oxia - Troisieme (intec)

14. Kiki - Luv Sick (bpitch)

5. Danilo Vigorito - Southsoul Appendix D ..

Only just bought this last one about 2 weeks ago and haven't had time to
listen to it yet properly yet, but it is shaping up to be a good one alright

I am though a little confused about 10. I just don't think it was never

Actually haven't heard that tune that you're on about, to be honest, I don't
buy half as many tunes as I should..I force myself to keep away from the
record shop as much as I can, so a few biggies did go over my head this
year. Only heard them afterwards and then kicked myself that I missed them

But nice slection anyhow and i hope the 313 list serves you well.

thanking you again..

I hope you don't mind me saying but I just could not help expressing my
view
:)

oh not at all. I am equally bemused and bewildered with some people's inclusions
in their own otherwise interesting tracklists or top tens.

Just making it into 2002:

The 'dj-dex' edit of 'Black Strategy' by Dark Energy.

Re-released from (can't recall the name) a Dark Energy ep in 1999, it shared
a side with another song in a special '2x2' edition - which meant some djs
wouldn't risk trying to find the right groove live.

Loved it in '99, and like it better than all the latest UR/Red Planet stuff
(although they might grow on me.)

Seasonal Silliness:

'Move My Body' - D'Wachman HD Substance (Luis Rozalen, Portugal) Atlas.

(Also on Rob Hood's 'Caught In The Act' mix CD.)

'The move my body' refrain makes me smile 'cause it's pretty dumb! - But
it's a nice groove and well made for use.

Almost top tunes:

Patrick Pulsinger - 'Easy To Assemble, Hard To Take A Part' (Cheap)
-
Reason 'Almost' - Came out in 2001

Nova Scotia - Loose Leaves (Illinton's Purple Leaves Mix)
(Airtight) -
ditto/not as deep as it pretends to be.

interesting choice...this is a very wierd record for
 something that got
 into the charts

really experimental rhythm that really jars when you
 first hear it then
 you get used to it...

it's a kind of the theo 'in between the groove'
parrish style

An other swedish popsinger also used the same type of
groove ... of which the name escapes me right know

but off beat grooves are hot right now
check the latest 'just clap' song of Busta Rhymes
or the track 'water' on the new roots album

almost afro beat type of influences

or the bush workout by Oba Funkee

timbaland eat your hart out :P

No, it was Rodney Jerkins/Darkchild... nice piece of glitch-RB, that
track!

:) i stand corrected...

actually been quite a lot of rb playing on the radio that's pretty good
this year...

fave of the moment for me is missy's work it (lyrics touching on booty,
which tickles me as it's on radio1's a-list)

actually i think ghetto tech with that kinda lyrical content (rather than
just ass'n'titties or 'let me see your dick work') would be pretty good

cheers

Brendan mentioned the 95 North remix recently, which I haven't been able to
find anywhere: any tips, preferably with online samples? I heard her Full
Moon the other day for the first time, and thought it was a stunner.
