Unfortunately, there have been several busted remixes of carsfor those
of you who dig the metal I think Fear Factory did one..as well as (dont
quote me im not up on my hard house) Armand Van Helden.

Either way I think they both should have been stopped and asked politely to
think it over, both mixes butchered a great song.

...I would be interested in finding some other numan samples/mixes as well
if anybody knows of any.

i was listening to telekon last night and even more impressed than usual,
have any 313 artists used obvious numan samples? i know there were a
collection of remixes that came out about 4/5 years ago - the only one i
 remember is dave clarkes cars.

Have to disagree with your opinion on the Dave
Clarke Cars remix. I always thought it was
pretty
slamming, freaky vocal effects and all...

As a matter of fact, I've been searching for this
record for a couple of years... so if any of you
haters have one that you want to give up, send me an
email.

Personally, I'd like to lobby for a Designer Music version of We Are So
Fragile or Films.

Samplespotter.com only lists two instances of the use of Cars--Armand Van
Helden's Koochi and Ma$e's No Matter What.

That reminds me of a review in Muzik or Mixmag about Electronome's Music
Telex released on Viewlexx US.
and later reissued on Murdercapital, saying something like...
Why the recordcompany never asked producers like Electronome instead of
people who came up with these remixes...

Could someone remember that in the exact words?

i thought it was ok but to be honest i couldnt really tell much difference
between it and the original other than the drums (particularly the kick)
were beefed up a bit

i think they were all very limited releases of a few thousand copies

I remember the remixes..
There was an Ian Pooley remix and a (Deliciously brutal) Mike Dearborn
remix. Choice record.

2002-02-13 Thread Ploegmakers, Joost
This is definately off topic, but this morning I heard on the radion that
the new Sugababes single is going to be a remake of Are Friends Electric.
After some research I found that it's going to be a mix of Gary Numan and
Adina howard. You can download a fragment here:
http://www.mandymoore4always.org/sugababes/main.html. It sounds absolutely
horrible.
