For those non auto-enthusiasts on the list, the 'Shaguar' in the Austin
Powers films is an E-Type. Personally I prefer the C and D types to the
over hyped E-Type...the cars I mean.

Happy to report the BMG/Sony release seems to have disappeared from the
stores here in NY...I've heard tell there was someone buying them all up,
presumably to burn them. Whomever he/she is...Thank You!!

I wondered about the same thing, but the eurodance E-Type is from
Sweden, whereas this E-Type is/are from Germany. And like urban fox
said, E-Type is a Jaguar type anyway, which makes for a logical
 explanation.

Again, if someone is actually doing this, please drag them out in to the
street and beat on them. PURCHASING these records is not the way to tell
Sony/BMG that they have done a horrible deed. Once you have bought these
records, it doesn't matter whether you listen to them, burn them , or
masturbate over the records, YOU HAVE GIVEN SONY YOUR MONEY. I am sure
this is all rumor, but do not encourage this. If you can't figure out why,
I question how you'd be literate enough to get yourself onto an email
list.

It's like giving a homicidal maniac some guns so he/she won't kill people
anymore. jesus..

Wouldn't it be better to go into the store, get a bunch of the BMG/Sony
versions, take them to a personal listening station and then scratch them up
with a pin when shopkeeper isn't looking and then place them back in the
racks...

Mr. Fox myself.

In fact the notorious trance mix is actually
  called the 'E-Type' mix.

E-Type is the name of a horrible, long-haired
euro-dance producer who had a few MTV hits last
year.
One must assume that 'E-Type Mix' means that he
 did the remix.

Not necesarily at all.

Like I pointed out. Jaguar is a well known and
respected manfacturer of large, fast, luxury cars.

Apart from the famous post war XK Le Mans winners
probably their most popular and widely recognised
model is the beautiful and elegant E-type model from
the sixties. The one with the long, long bonnet,
striking lines and often with a soft top.
If he didn't own an Aston Martin James Bond might have
driven one. Certainly his sixties mini skirt dolly
bird's would have loved to have been seen in one.
Surely you know the car I mean? A timeless classic
motor vehicle.

So. Jaguar - E-Type car - dropping E's at raves -
trance shite - E-Type mix. Geddit???

So. How does the world reknowned, Detroit, Mich. USA
owned, hugely respected manufacturer of highly
desirable cars for the rich and influencial appreciate
their valuable trademark logo being associated with,
er, lets just say trance music

They, unlike UR, employ lawyers for just such
eventualities as this. Don't they??

Likesay.

So apparently, they are also ripping off this 'E-Type'
