i heard a really sweet remix of this a couple weeks ago. i can't really describe it too well other than by saying that it was slowed down - somewhere around a 'house' tempo. any info?

Where did you hear the mix? It could have just been the DJ playing it -6 and sneaking a house track under it. If I am not mistaken UR - 21 Crime Report was the sampler off the interstellar fugitives LP and the tracks on this were either different mixes of tracks on the LP or not on the triple vinyl at all. Gotta give them both a better listen to be certain. OK I actually got off my ass and checked, and it was UR 47 (Vintage Future) that I was thinking of and it was Mark Taylor not Marc Floyd. That makes more sense. Oh, yeah, Mark Taylor! Now THAT'S a diverse cat! Anybody remember Mark Morrison? Check the credits for Taylor's work. In fact, he's done a lot of tracks for British RB folks in addition to his electro and bass tracks, amongst other stylings. Hell, if we're talking about Marks, anyone remember Marc Pharaoh? I'm not really into the electro side of things, but Floyd takes it into Aphex Twin Come To Daddy territory. Weird, dark, abrasive, high-speed type shit. He's got a ton of tracks completed, but who knows where they'll all end up (including one he did w/ DJ Rolando). I think he's got a piece out on Metroplex under the name Mark Flash as well. a.
