Re: [313] Drexciya was Venue Info
You are incorrect. Ultradyne consists of 2 persons, I being one of them. If we were Drexciya I would not be on the phone trying to get him/them to do this show with us. Again, I am looking for some venue help. If you have any information on this matter, please contact me. Well if Somebody would set people straight as to who, Drexciya, Dopplereffekt, Ultrdyne, Elecktroids, Japanese Telecom, etc...are, Then maybe you could get credit for your own werk. i think that posting people's identities on a list like 313 is wrong, and i *will* be a bitch about this until you respect peoples' anonymity. let artists reveal themselves or credit themselves as they see fit, not because you need another tidbit of info... it's in poor taste to talk about people's business in a one-on-one situation, let alone a large mailing list. -- cut pasted from a previous post to 313: i think if you respect an artist (or a collective of artists like underground resistance) you should respect their desire to be anonymous (and any artist who wears a mask wants to remain anonymous). i think discussing people's real names and identities on a very public list with no moderation could cause problems... direct flames to: ani record time [EMAIL PROTECTED] www.recordtime.com ph 810.775.1550 fax 810.775.5830 icq# 33610265 aol im: recordtime313 want to be on the record time mailing list? send an email message from the address you want to subscribe with subscribe in the subject - Original Message - From: _DipfthonG_ [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: graham [tan] wilson [EMAIL PROTECTED]; [EMAIL PROTECTED] Cc: 313@hyperreal.org Sent: Thursday, March 08, 2001 1:19 AM Subject: Re: [313] Drexciya was Venue Info Well if Somebody would set people straight as to who, Drexciya, Dopplereffekt, Ultrdyne, Elecktroids, Japanese Telecom, etc...are, Then maybe you could get credit for your own werk. Re: [313] Drexciya was Venue Info
d. thong, Ani is very right. The reason that people create so much mystery behind their names is because they consciously decide to remain anonymous. I don't know how publishing/licensings work in this case, since I have never released a record anonymously, but I am sure that the artists in question are in no more danger of having someone make tone by tone covers of their tracks than someone who puts their full name on their albums. If you mean credit from the fans, many artists are content enough knowing that people out there are wanting to release, purchase, say good things about their art. Re: [313] Drexciya was Venue Info
sorry, I had to interject... the last time this was discussed it was regarding Red Planet, and who was it let the information slip?... one of The Martian (or should that be one of the martians - this many-people / one-person thing plays hell with my grammar). if they want me pay my 7 quid for their records, then I have a right to be curious and it's up to them to be secretive. quite simply, if they wanted to be anonymous that much, they shouldn't have let it slip... I won't post it here flame fans, but if anyone wants to know they can check the archives at about november last year. - seth _ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com.

hear hear! I love the fact that I don't know who these people are... it's the mystery that makes the music that much better. They aren't looking for personal fame, just good music. Well if Somebody would set people straight as to who, Drexciya, Dopplereffekt, Ultrdyne, Elecktroids, Japanese Telecom, etc...are They are some of the best electro/techno units, 'nuff said. I for one love the fact that this keeps bubbling up. sorry. :) And that's it is still a mystery for most. What's even more mysterious is that the archives for 2000 end in March. Hmm. -d I won't post it here flame fans, but if anyone wants to know they can check the archives at about november last year.

Venue Info
Hi All, I was wondering if anyone has info on open venue sites for the DEMF weekend. Live acts would be Dopplereffekt, Ultradyne, Tangible aka Gumshoe, and maybe Drexciya (still working on that, so far no luck...). DJ's would be Adam X and Heather Hart (both from Sonic Groove in NYC). The main thing slowing us down right now is finding an open venue that would fit somewhere between 500-1500 people. If there are any local promoters on this list feel free to contact me if you would be interested in this endeavor. We are looking at about an 8 hour after-party after one of the DEMF nights. Peace, Alex
