You will find 64 bit versions of each upgrade of Jaws at Freedom Scientific web site. For NVDA, the same setup file installs on both 32 and 64 bit windows. We do not get cane which lasts for 6 months or more then a year and the elastic which is used is of very low quality which may break any time when we are travelling or are on middle of the road. i had bought a standard cane from Saksham just 6 months and the elastic is already broken. I spoke to the concerned person about it and I came to know that they are getting canes from NIVH, deharadun. Some action should be taken to strengthen the cane along with good quality of elastic should be used. List members please come forward with your suggestion and opinion. The elastic is very sensitive to heat changes. Since we have extreem weather changes the elastic may get damaged easily. The condition is worse when we regularly fold and straighten it. What I do is changing the elastic once in a year. It is not a difficult task even for a totally blind. The elastic which we get from saksham is of good quality as per my observation. When I tried to install talks 5.3, I experienced similar problem. I then installed 5.2 and then upgraded with 5.3. One of my friend when faced problem in installing 5.2, he just changed the date to previous date. Also check wether software installation is set to all or not. fair wel, I had a cane from RNIB given by my friend some time back. it lasted around 4 years, but the elastic is still not broken, just the tip so i couldn't move further to replace it, since it would need further procedures so I'm using the normal one from india.
