Order on plea for hostel accommodation to be given later The Delhi High Court on Wednesday directed a private school here to admit two 100 per cent visually-impaired girl students to Class XI during the current session. A Division Bench of the Court comprising Justice A. K. Sikri and Justice Rajiv Sahai Endlaw passed the direction on public interest litigation by voluntary organisation Social Jurist submitting that the school had denied admission to them arbitrarily. On the plea for providing hostel accommodations to the two girls, the Bench said it would pass order on that on September 25. The petitioner submitted that Kumari Sita and Kumari Ranjana belonging to the lower strata of society were denied admission by the respondent school in a cruel, illegal and arbitrary manner. The petitioner submitted that despite intervention by the Chief Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities and the Directorate of Education, Delhi Government, the school did not relent to grant admission to these unfortunate but deserving students, the petition stated. The two girls had been studying in this school in Vikaspuri in West Delhi since Class VI and had appeared and passed Class X examination from there, the petition said. But, as far as I am concerned, I simply laugh when I am answering to something that is not being said to me, and also just ask the person if he/she is speaking with me or not. They normally clarify the same. But you must sometimes learn to accept that there are going to be many things to which we have no solutions and so we just have to do the best thing we can to go through them. You see, the world is completely designed for seeing persons and we just have to get around the best we can. If we intermingle more with society, they will learn to also accept us the way we are. And anyway, sighted persons also do many many actions and things that make them look and seem silly and yet they just keep going. So you too keep going, laught it off and best of luck.
