NAB Delhi invites applications from students pursuing higher studies
(graduation/post graduation) for Sanjay Tandon Memorial Scholarship
(2014-15). Interested candidates who fulfil the eligibility criteria laid
down below are requested to fill the prescribed form before 15th October
2014. Students are requested to fill the form online. Only online
applications will be accepted.
Objective
Sanjay Tandon Memorial Scholarship was started by NAB Delhi to provide
financial assistance to the students pursuing higher education. Since its
inception, selected students are being benefited by this scheme every year.
It was introduced with the objective of helping those visually impaired
students who are pursuing higher education--graduation, post graduation or
any other professional/job oriented course. This scheme is intended to
reduce the financial barriers of those students who aspire to succeed in
life by taking their educational career to a higher level.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidate must possess minimum 60% marks in class 12th or 50% at graduation
level.
The annual family income of the applicant should be below Rs. 15.
Applicant will have to appear for the personal interview on their own
expense.
Interview will be held at the premises of NAB Delhi.
Only shortlisted candidates will be informed and called for interview.
Preference will be given to those students who are pursuing a professional
or any other job oriented course.
Applicants are advised to bring following documents at the time of
interview.
2 passport size photographs.
Proof of disability.
Statement of marks of last exam passed.
Copy of fee slip/I card issued by the institute for current course.
Income certificate issued by SDM/District collector/employer/ITR.
(Income certificate issued by notary will not be accepted in any case).

So my another irritating question is that is there any such way that visually impaired person also could invoague the facility of demand draft independently? Is there any templets for the demand draft for various bank so that visually impaired person could feel up the form of draft in computer, and submit the bank, then bank will do a require thing to make a draft for us? [AI] A story behind midnight journey of nine women to find freedom
The nine women who broke the tall grills of the boundary wall of the Nari Sanrakshan Gruh in Odhav area of the city and escaped to freedom, on the night of October 8, might well have had reason enough to tell a tale. http://indianexpress.com/article/cities/ahmedabad/a-story-behind-midnight-journey-of-nine-women-to-find-freedom/99/ Alpa, a native of Dholka, an unwed mother who was celebrating her daughter's first birthday on Saturday, says. I got pregnant out of a relationship with a boy who is languishing in Sabarmati jail now. My mother tells me that I am 16 but I am 18. After his arrest, the police left me here. I am not married but mother of a baby girl. She says that she does not want to live here because she is being treated as a prisoner. We get food twice a day and some milk for the babies but no medical facilities, no contact with family members, no communication facility. Some of us have been living here since childhood in pathetic conditions. Out of the nine women who had escaped, five of them have been traced and brought back to this home for destitute women, which has in all 60 women, including 35 mentally challenged women. The Indian Express visited the home and found the women living in fllthy conditions, in rooms stinking with urine and defecation around their beds, rats gnawing away at left over food and cockroaches swarming all over the place. The women brought here include rape victims, ostracised women or those whose parents are in jail. The Nari Sanrakshan Gruh functions under the social welfare and women and child development departments of the state government. Vatsala Shah (19), one of the girls who led the group to flee out of the women home, holds a diploma in engineering. She was an orphan raised in Mahipatram Ashram and later adopted. She fell in love as a teenager and eloped with a minor boy who is now in a juvenile remand home. Her parents wanted to take her back but she refuses to go with them. She says, I can make a living outside, work and live a happy life with my boyfriend. I don't want to live with my parents. I am waiting for him to unite with me. I was raised in that family but I don't want to live with them after they objected to my decision of living with this boy. I am not happy here living in this filth. We are abused and not given enough food too. While Vatsala's father wants her back, others in this home are not as lucky. Gauri, a native of Bihar was deserted at the Ahmedabad Railway Station by her husband because he had been forced to marry her. She said, I don't know the language people here talk. I want to go back to Rangamati, my village. Here, I can't eat the food they make, have no clothes to change for days and don't get proper sanitation facilities. The 35 mentally challenged women share the space with other women on the ground floor. They are made to sleep on the floor in the lobby on sheets as the rooms meant for them are locked. A rape victim among them, who is also hearing and speech impaired, sits with a six-month-old baby in her lap, smiling away. A destitute, she was raped on the streets of Ahmedabad and brought here. Rekha Rana Gyan Singh (30), a BCom graduate who speaks fluent English says, I was cheated by my brother who left me in Ahmedabad saying that I will get a government job here. Now he is nowhere to be found. The railway police brought me to this women home. My life is hell over here. We are kept with mentally challenged patients who even assault us sometimes. I suffer from depression for the last eight years but I am not getting medicines for the same. She says that the plan to run away had been hatched for a long time, and she was to join them, but backed out at the last minute. Next time when such a plan is made we all will run away together. We are jailed here for having committed no offence and have full rights to live a dignified life outside, she says. Three of the women here are afflicted with HIV-positive, including a 60-year-old who is a resident of Kalyan in Mumbai. They are made to sleep on the floor. Bhavna Jog, superintendent of the women home says, We are doing everything possible from our side but we neither understand their language nor what they want. So we can't do anything for them. The women are sent here on court orders or otherwise when found after they go missing. Of the 20 younger women, at least 15 are from Gujarat. A senior officer from Ahmedabad Police said, When police find destitute women in need of care and protection, they are sent to this women's home. However, here the girls are being kept with mentally challenged patients which is worse than a criminal's term in jail. The administrators have no idea of the stage of HIV infection among them. I am facing problem in Excel 2007 when I am using f2 key to edit jaws is not reading anything from the cell even though there is data in the cell. Jaws announces as blank. These six metros include Mumbai, New Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, Bangalore and Hyderabad. The regulator has clarified that this new rule will not apply in case the transactions are being carried out both in metros and non-metros. “If transactions are carried out at both, the six metro centres and other locations, the total number of transactions (inclusive of both financial and non-financial) free of charge at other bank ATMs would continue to remain at five,” said RBI in a circular. This new regulation is set to be effective from November 1. According to the new regulation, banks are also free to charge their customers for ATM transactions beyond five a month, though a board-approved policy on this issue would have to be put in place. However, RBI has said that lenders are free to offer more number of free transactions per month at other bank ATMs as well as their own ATMs in any geographical location. Banks are also free to decide on the combination (for metro non-metro locations) of free transactions while adhering the minimum requirement, added the circular. [AI] seeking help regarding the keyboard of my hp laptop.
hello group. since hindi is not allow in this list, it is very hard to explain the problem i'm facing on my laptop, but i'm trying my best to explain the things in a colequell manner, please understand me. since friday, i'm battelling with serious issue on my 1.5 years old hp2000-2106 tu notebook. my cursor always lurch contineously in the vertical direction like someone had consistently press the up arrow. and when i press down arrow, then up arrow stops working, and i won't be able to use the up arrow again. yes i know that unfortunately i have to replace the keyboarrd of my laptop in order to get rid from this problem, but again please suggest me that what would be the requisite treatment we have to perform to get rid from this problem prior to take to the servicing center? cause some time small tricks may be very helpfull. any good or bad commence is highly appriciated Clean India Campaign: Let us also chip in! Hi First of all, let me clarify, we don't discourage posting using Hindi. However, you have to take care of things: 1 write Hindi content in subject line followed by the appropriate subject. 2 Use only Unicode font. Coming to your problem, you can using a blower of a vacuum cleaner on your laptop keyboard. Alternatively, you can press the control or alt key when the cursor key gets auto activated. It can help you temporarily.
