Re: [AI] urgent help needed in reading business daily from their archive

2014-10-27 Thread BIKRAMADITYA BEHERA
if you are aware of the appropriate keywards, incorporate that in the
search parameters within quotes in order to obtain a refined result.
for instance, as you mentioned about economic times, you need to visit the
URL economictimes.indiatimes.com/archive.cms to land directly on the
archive page where you can manually obtain your desired item by selecting
the relevant option from the page; say, you wish to retrieve the news that
was published on 30th November, 2012. just select November, preceded by the
text mentioning the corresponding year. for example, it may look something
like 2012 in the first line, then Link January, Link February, Link
March... up to Link december. then if you navigate using down arrow, you
will encounter the text as 2013, then again Link January, Link february and
so on. Don't use insert f7 to brows the links since the Links will be
obviously identical given the fact that the months are displayed as a link
for every year. therefore, ultimately there will be many januaries,
februaries and so on. so, first figure out the year, then press Tab or down
arrow to navigate through the links and press enter to activate it on the
webpage itself. However, you can implement a shortcut which will
straightaway redirect you to the archived content of a specific date with
very little effort. I will show you how:
suppose you wish to obtain the news articles of 10th December, 2012. type
the following in the browser address bar:
http://economictimes.indiatimes.com/archive/year-2012,month-12.cms
now, you can use the links list dialog by pressing insert f7 to get the
specific dates which will be from 1 to 31. simply adjust the year and month
accordingly to find the archived content of your desired date. for example,
if it is November 2009, type:
http://economictimes.indiatimes.com/archive/year-2009,month-11.cms
Note the changes I implemented in the month and year. previously, it was
year-2012 and I adjusted it to year-2009, and it was month-12 where I
adjusted it to 11. Please change the values, do not change the punctuation
marks such as commas and dashes.
I hope you will find the steps as simple and comprehensible.
I will explain about the rest of the publications you mentioned such as
business standard, hindustan times in my subsequent replies, otherwise the
explanations will be too long.

Dear young and senior friends, agreeing with Pooja mittal that only the needy
can appreciate the needs of others ; I suggest Mr. S K Rungta NFB, Dr. Anil
Aneja, Mr. Javed abedi and other stalwarts must take up the issue of
appointment of a disabled expert only, as the state disability commissioner, in
every State or UT. The PMs own state Gujarat had a VI Disability Commissioner,
appointed by Mr. Modi , a few years back.
In most states and UT s the Secretary Welfare of the concerned state has been
notified as the  Disability Commissioner also, but they hardly find time for
the petitions, the NGOs or any other important work related to disability . Nor
are they easily approachable to the disabled.
A provision in the PWD Act for selecting a State Disability commissioner from
amongst the disabled only, shall be imperative .           I shall look forward
to the list members views on this issue.

Hello,
the private browsing mode allows you to maintain the confidentiality of
your web browsing activities by restraining the browser from remembering
the information regarding any website you visit. during a private browsing
session, it does not retain any evidence of your browsing history,
temporary Internet files, form data, cookies, Cached Web Content, Offline
Web Content, user data etc. However, it does not disable important browser
add-ons, plug ins and so on since it might disable many of the
functionality of the browser. for instance, if the Adobe flash player plug
in or the Shockwave Flash plug ins are disabled, you won't be able to view
any video content. and As I mentioned earlier, unfortunately, the whole
issue is with the Adobe flash player. if you want, you can disable it while
visiting such sites, but you have to re enable it again in order to use all
the features as before. therefore, it only guranttees your privacy, but
does not disable the functionality.

2014-10-27 Thread bhawani shankar verma
I am also working for NFB here in chhattisgarh and there is no active
association other than NFB in my state. in addition, I think that such type
of meetings would become popularity shows after a certain period of time.
unfortunately, most of the benefits to the visually impaired and blind
people are goes to Delhi or other big cities. sparing Sundays only can not
transform the situation. a strong movement is required instead indoor
meetings.

ANNOUNCEMENT:-

The National Federation of the Blind came up as a sole door to impart
justice to those visually impaired people who were survivors of some
injustice been done by the society. The one and only objective of the
organization was that, the pain of a needy can be felt by a person who
is sailing under the same boat, in other words the problems of a
visually impaired person can be understood by a visually impaired
person only. The federation had taken outrageous efforts throughout
these four decades to bring about a socio-economic change in the
society so as to make this earth a better place to live for the entire
person with disabilities.
On the recommendation of all the women and youth with visual
impairment, the federation had once again taken outrageous efforts to
bring about a change in the society for the interest of all the
visually impaired women and youth wing. On 26th October 2014, under the
chairmanship of Mrs. Kusumlata Malik (vice president woman), a meeting
for women was organized; around 120 women have actively participated in
the con-sodium. This con-sodium was been attended by four categories of
women i.e, working women, illiterate women, women perusing education
and educated but unemployed women. In this meeting issues related to
women empowerment, security and safety, education was discussed so as
to come up with a concrete solution. Some women who were not able to
come up for the meeting have also shared their view through mails and
letters. In the second half there was a meet especially for visually
impaired youth been chaired by Mr. Naveen Ahlawat (Secretary- Youth).
During this meeting almost fifty percent of the participation was from
woman. In Youth con-sodium issues related to employment, rehabilitation
opportunities, training etc which can be impacted by the federation
were discussed at a glance so as to understand the need of all the
visually impaired people.
Through this initiative the federation had taken a step so listen to
the voice of the youth and woman so as to make the duty bearers to act
as per the need of the society and not as per their own wishes. In all
this initiative of the federation was a success. And more such
con-sodium would be expected to be held in future as well so as to
understand the loop holes in the upbringing of all visually impaired
people. Hence without fail we can say that 26 October 2014 was a day
which brought about an extension in the whole work area of the
federation.

Re: [AI] Difficulty in reading Frontline Magazine

A better solution may be to disable add-ons and extentions while
reading Frontline. To do so, you just open the sight in in-private
browser mode. To activate in-private mode, press control+shift+P
inside the browser and a new window will open. Type the frontline
address on the address bar and try reading it. Note that it will not
make any change to your default settings, but will simply allow you to
access various pages without any add-on.

Hello wonderful people,

I'm going to buy a car myself. Before jumping into the competative market, I
just wanted to know what are all the exemptions we are eligible for?

I don't want to pay everything and bugging them for claiming it back again. So
if anyone of you having any suggestions or orders, or whatever, Kindly send it
to my email please.

Regards,

Madhu.

Re: [AI] important from NFB briefing about the meetings held on 26th in head office

2014-10-27 Thread avinash shahi
I appreciate the participatory efforts undertaken by the giant NFB
which has been fighting for the rights of blind people for decades. It
was lamentable in the past that NFB was missing from ever-burgeoning
disability discussion on websites in India. Regular interaction
between benefactor and the beneficiaries is a solid and desired
governance formula.

[AI] please help, web browser issues

2014-10-27 Thread Bhavya shah
Dear all,
>From quite some time I as facin problems with Firefox such as:
many pages just didn't load and when I F6ed around, there was the
address bar and the webpage only contained its URL, very strange but
that was what it was
YouTube vieos simply crashed 99% of the times, for no apparent reason
So, I uninstalled Firefox, deleting all the files in appdata and all
the subfolders, until no Firefox file remained
I started Internet eExplorer to get the setup of Firefox to install it fresh
However, downloading just doesn't work in Internet Explorer, again for
no apparent reason, I have had experience with downloading on IE so I
know how the download process in IE works.
I tried downloading Chrome and Firefox, but as I said downloading just
didn't work. Also, in Internet Explorer as well, some pages just don't
load, for example mozilla.org
I am glad that GMail still works, so I can share my problems with you all.
I don't know when this started, but this is getting very frustrating.
What can I do?
Please suggest me a solution.
Best Regards
Bhavya Shah

ANNOUNCEMENT:-

The National Federation of the Blind came up as a sole door to impart
justice to those visually impaired people who were survivors of some
injustice been done by the society. The one and only objective of the
organization was that, the pain of a needy can be felt by a person who
is sailing under the same boat, in other words the problems of a
visually impaired person can be understood by a visually impaired person
only. The federation had taken outrageous efforts throughout these four
decades to bring about a socio-economic change in the society so as to
make this earth a better place to live for the entire person with
disabilities.
On the recommendation of all the women and youth with visual impairment,
the federation had once again taken outrageous efforts to bring about a
change in the society for the interest of all the visually impaired
women and youth wing. On 26th October 2014, under the chairmanship of
Mrs. Kusumlata Malik (vice president woman), a meeting for women was
organized; around 120 women have actively participated in the
con-sodium. This con-sodium was been attended by four categories of
women i.e, working women, illiterate women, women perusing education and
educated but unemployed women. In this meeting issues related to women
empowerment, security and safety, education was discussed so as to come
up with a concrete solution. Some women who were not able to come up for
the meeting have also shared their view through mails and letters. In
the second half there was a meet especially for visually impaired youth
been chaired by Mr. Naveen Ahlawat (Secretary- Youth). During this
meeting almost fifty percent of the participation was from woman. In
Youth con-sodium issues related to employment, rehabilitation
opportunities, training etc which can be impacted by the federation were
discussed at a glance so as to understand the need of all the visually
impaired people.
Through this initiative the federation had taken a step so listen to the
voice of the youth and woman so as to make the duty bearers to act as
per the need of the society and not as per their own wishes. In all this
initiative of the federation was a success. And more such con-sodium
would be expected to be held in future as well so as to understand the
loop holes in the upbringing of all visually impaired people. Hence
without fail we can say that 26 October 2014 was a day which brought
about an extension in the whole work area of the federation.

On the recommendation of all the women and youth with visual impairment,
the federation had once again taken outrageous efforts to bring about a
change in the society for the interest of all the visually impaired women
and youth wing. On 26th October 2014, under the chairmanship of Mrs.
Kusumlata Malik (vice president woman), a meeting for women was organized;
around 120 women have actively participated in the con-sodium. This
con-sodium was been attended by four categories of women i.e, working
women, illiterate women, women perusing education and educated but
unemployed women. In this meeting issues related to women empowerment,
security and safety, education was discussed so as to come up with a
concrete solution. Some women who were not able to come up for the meeting
have also shared their view through mails and letters. In the second half
there was a meet especially for visually impaired youth been chaired by
Mr. Naveen Ahlawat (Secretary- Youth). During this meeting almost fifty
percent of the participation was from woman. In Youth con-sodium issues
related to employment, rehabilitation opportunities, training etc which
can be impacted by the federation were discussed at a glance so as to
understand the need of all the visually impaired people.
Through this initiative the federation had taken a step so listen to the
voice of the youth and woman so as to make the duty bearers to act as per
the need of the society and not as per their own wishes. In all this
initiative of the federation was a success. And more such con-sodium would
be expected to be held in future as well so as to understand the loop
holes in the upbringing of all visually impaired people. Hence without
fail we can say that 26 October 2014 was a day which brought about an
extension in the whole work area of the federation.

[AI] important from NFB briefing about the meetings held on 26th in head office

2014-10-27 Thread pooja
ANNOUNCEMENT:-

The National Federation of the Blind came up as a sole door to impart justice
to those visually impaired people who were survivors of some injustice been
done by the society. The one and only objective of the organization was that,
the pain of a needy can be felt by a person who is sailing under the same boat,
in other words the problems of a visually impaired person can be understood by
a visually impaired person only. The federation had taken outrageous efforts
throughout these four decades to bring about a socio-economic change in the
society so as to make this earth a better place to live for the entire person
with disabilities.
On the recommendation of all the women and youth with visual impairment, the
