There is no such ground-breaking on-the-ground mechanism, not even in the new
law, despite we repeatedly demanding it.

Dear Friends,

I am Saravanan from Bangalore.
I wish you all a very happy new year 2017.
Most of the VI persons has been irritated or badly treated by some of
the public servants such as bus conductors or Disability card issueing
persons in hospitals or many goverment employees refusing to provide the
relaxations for VI's or some strangers critizising the VI's or some
rough persons behaving wrongly with Disabled persons in Handicapped
boggies, etc. Is there any possibility to take action on these persons.
If so, how to take action on them. Is there possibility to raise
complaint on them thru phone calls. Or elswhere we have to adjust
ourselves on our part and do maintain patience.
Please throw light on this matter.

Re: [AI] I write an Op-Ed in The Hindu today: Excluded from financial inclusion

2017-01-01 Thread Asudani, Rajesh
SBI is notoriously ubiquitous in everything.
Name anything, and it is in SBI and it is not in SBI.

I was asked to submit xerox copy of my ID proof to deposit demonetized notes in
my KYC compliant account after standing in a queue for half an hour.

This training is happening in SBI. Even in case of demonetisation,
SBI made an announcement in the internal site to arrange for
comfortable service to disabled.

Dear All, Your comments are welcome.
I'd be happy and article will serve its purpose if friends working in
various banks can share this piece with the top management in their
banks. It would be even better if some of you can tweet this piece to
 the Finance Ministry twitter handle.

Despite the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) repeatedly issuing circulars
to all scheduled commercial banks across the country to provide
banking facilities to customers with disabilities at a par with
non-disabled people, the majority of disabled people continue to be
inconvenienced by the banks. The situation is especially grim in rural
 areas particularly post-demonetization.

19. (1) The appropriate Government shall formulate schemes and
programmes including
provision of loans at concessional rates to facilitate and support
employment of persons
with disabilities especially for their vocational training and self-employment.

Does this mean that PWDs are going to get cheaper loans in coming
time? If yes, then is this a binding on gov and PSBs and something
like interest subvension scheme is going to be launched like existing
schemes for farmers and students?

No, the contents are the same. I have made a random check of the text. The

I have been trying the Trupay ap on Android. After launching the app,
it asks me to enter an activation code. However I don't receive any
activation code to enter and there appears no option to send or resend
request for any such code. Now how do I pass that initial screen and
go ahead with associating my bank account with the app?

Any hint or advise may be of great help!

Thanks.

[AI] Paper of Interest: Competencies of disabled entrepreneurs in Iran: implications for learning and development:

2017-01-01 Thread avinash shahi
Abstract
Abstract

This qualitative research set out to explore competencies of disabled
entrepreneurs by presenting their lived experiences in developing
their capabilities to create and manage their own business. The
research also aimed to identify the dimensions and components of
entrepreneurial competencies of disabled entrepreneurs. The
participants were 16 entrepreneurs with physical and mobility
disabilities, four educational managers of disabled vocational
education and rehabilitation centers, and four entrepreneurship
academics. Our findings suggested that the disabled entrepreneurs
possess specific personal and functional entrepreneurial competencies.
Personal competencies include attitudinal competencies,
entrepreneurial self-efficacy and entrepreneurship learning
self-efficacy. Functional competencies encompass entrepreneurial
competencies, commitment and social competencies.
