hi Harish,
I did not agree with your logic.

Hindi is not the *national* language, that is a myth.

Hindi is *official language of the Union*. Where did it come from? why?
While the constitution was being drafted, this question came up for
official language of the union, and after a lot of debate Hindi was
chosen.
Official language for the purposes of governance of the union (Article
343), and the initiatives to promote it (as at the time Hindi was not
really a language of office communication) were stated in Article 351.

Governments have been debating this over and over and passing different
resolutions from time to time, discussions are open on choosing other
official languages partially/fully. And as highlighted, the government
communications are actually done in 3 languages, the state's local
language, official language of the union, and the international
language.

It's not a question about unjustice by a bank, discrimination, or
disability. Its about an article of the constitution about language of
communication and following it. And as highlighted there are other
methods
to prove *proficiency* in the language other than graduation.

Something from personal experience now:
I have been doing a lot of travelling due to my work, long travels,
spending 1 or 2 days entirely in trains. I have met a lot and lot of
bank
officials over these travels. A manager from MP deputed in core south
Kerala, a manager from Kerala in rural Bihar, another from Bihar in
Coorg,
and many more. These guys have never complained about being in a
entirely
different language background, where they might be the only person in
the
entire office and residential locality speaking that language, eating a
type of food, and the practice of culture. I have always heard praises
on
how their local staff helps them with translations, helping them know
their
culture, share thefood and local knowledge, and basically a two-way
sharing
of all. The way public banks are implemented in India they promote a lot
of
diversity, and I feel good homework should be done before
blatently alledging them of something which they might not be culprits
of.

Amar,

As for as my observations, on the mobile transfer, selecting the contact and
navigating, the there are 2 buttons with same label “pay”

After entering the amount, the 2nd button will be shown as image which has the
label of Indian rupee.

Suggestion to hide from the talkback for the 2nd button till the user enters
the amount.

RE: [AI] CCPD hearing against Paytm on December 29-inputs needed

2022-12-27 Thread Pranav Lal
Hi Amar,

On both ios and android:

1. The home page is extremely busy. There is no section information such
that it is hard to determine which item to tap on to activate the desired
feature. The entire screen is crammed with offers.
2. On the website, the same problem persists. This is my primary issue
with paytm.
3. If I pay to a mobile number on the ios app, then the pay button is
active as long as the number keyboard is visible. If I hit the button labelled
“done”, then the button labelled “pay” vanishes. I will need someone to test
this.
4. There is no easy way to do a know your customer verification on the
app. There are confusing references to kyc centers.
5. In the ios app, the button to activate the account profile is not
clearly labelled. I believe the label is the initials of the user.

2022-12-27 Thread Priti Sharma
Hello AI Convention delegates

Greetings!!

I am Dr. Priti Sharma, a yoga therapist from Mumbai. Do join me on 5
Jan at 5pm at the AccessIndia Convention for a live yoga session. It
would re-energize you to enjoy rest of your evening, and more so to
acquaint with yoga practices for fitness and for some health issues
incidental to lifestyle with vision impairment.

I am a physician practicing yoga therapy and life style management
using concepts of Ayurveda for the last 3 decades. In the last 2 years
through our team of trained yoga therapists we have been also
successful in making our online yoga sessions accessible for persons
with blindness/low-vision.

Do note:
- This session is only for registered AI convention delegates, and to
experience the live yoga session we request you to please fill your
details in the below given google form. This would help me plan the
session, and the organizers for arranging yoga mats, volunteers &
other logistics.
- The first 50 entries would be able to take part in the live yoga
session while others can still be around to listen to the talk. So
hurry up and register max by 31 Dec 2022.
- To get the best experience you may like to come in comfortable
clothes appropriate to do yoga practices.
