On the basis of following line: This time may be spent by the teachers preferably in the school. It means it is not mandatory to stay in school for extra 1.20 hours. Religious communities, Backward classes, Dalits, SC's and ST's, women, gay community, almost all communities and classes but the disabled have created a kind of support base, which provides them social, political and at times, the financial support. It is high time that we should think in terms of creating a support base for our own selves. Religious groups issue guidelines for the concerned community to vote in a particular pattern during the elections and use it as a pressure tactic to fulfil their demands. Now that the national disability alliance has come into being, let us also try to use this kind of political bargaining in the interest of the community. Let us convey it to each political party that we, as a community shall vote for the party which accommodates our demands and grievances in its election manifesto. The message should be loud and clear for all contesting candidates that we can and shall influence the results of elections in the favour of those who stand for us as a support base. She found that the ladies were trying to take her at the wrong destinations at the corner of the platform where there was no public at all. She was desperately trying to take someone's help, but she could not found anyone. Both the ladies were still forcing her to walk with them at the corner of the platform. Finally, one of lady has managed to open her hand-bag and took two mobile phones and a huge amount out from her pocket and then she allowed her to manage with her own. Till now, my friend was not aware about her losts. When she reached at home, she was very shocked and was just crying to be a helpless girl. She have lodged several complaints to the area police station, but still helpless to get any kind of support from the police. Friends, this incident was took place before a month, but the question which generate in the mind that how can we trust on any unknown person before accepting his/her kind support or assistance? It may supportive, co-operative, but it can be dangerous and painful also at some points. Please throw some lights on this topic as it is very important and helpful for those visually challenged persons especially the girls who are frequently travel alone in the big cities and towns. I know you are educated, but still it is the thinking, that if you put thumb impression, it means you are illiterate. Though I just explained the problem that due to no vision many a times letters differ bit. This provision of considering persons with thumb impression as illiterate was enshrined in our constitution at the time of making, which is not wrong because it gives protections to rural masses, but makes no difference between the literate and illiterate person. I must appreciate CDSL's approach towards this, while opening demat account, they give instructions to the depository participants to put a remark for we VI as Person with visual impairment and thumb impression. This directly or indirectly shows that they do make distinction between an illiterate and literate person. Anyways no doubts, the experience of all accessindians will make my task easier. So, a kind request from all of you to please share your views on learning signature on or off the list. And thanks, for this good and positive approach. The biggest achievement is on no fetters on Scribe chosen by candidate and multiple scribes. this battle took nearly 1 and half hours. these recommendations will be the minimum to be provided some Examining Bodies provide better facilities like Pranav has suggested they can continue to do so. Now the whole process starts. it will be recommended to the Ministry then maybe another 2 sittings and discussions. then it will be implemented at the Center and we will have to go back to each State to ask them to implement it. It is ironical but the fight started in Maharashtra and then went to the Center and now we will have to go back to each state finally to achieve uniformity. Closure is far but the steps have started. I would like to thank Mr. Sisodia who started this battle and then got me involved, every accessindian for sharing and contributing and the Xaviers Resource Centre for the Visually challenged in Researching and actually battling it out with the Authorities. this topic can now close for a few days till I post the recommendations as and when I receive it.
