80G is in great trouble way ahead.

Unfortunately there is none to fight strongly and take up the issue with the 
govt and this government is punishing the small NGOS in India.

I am worried that new tax regime does not allow 80G exemption on donation to 
charitable organisations. It will affect charitable activities in future. Maybe 
the old tax regime will be abolished very soon and the benefit of 80G will be 
no longer available.

 

I recently wrote about it in a Bengali audio magazine. I don't think that 
donors contribute to charitable works for this benefit. But this is a way the 
government honours and encourages the donors.

Don't forget that the benefit of 100% exemption under section 35AC was 
abolished in the finance bill of 2016. This must have disrupted many projects.

 

We, the pwd and other backward sections, will be directly affected if income of 
charitable organisations goes down.

 

All organisations should demand the inclusion of 80G exemption in the new tax 
regime like 80CCD(2) and 80JJAA.

Technically speaking banks do not require captchas if they have incorporated 
128 bit of encryption.  Not sure on what basis RBI recommends it still.

Is there a specific reason you've bought Mac?
If you are a Windows users You will not have such great experience in Mac since 
it has multilayer keystrokes.
For instance, if you are focused on any elements such as Combo boxes and tables 
edit box in which ever application, you would need to press VoiceOver key 
+shift+down arrow to expand it.
I'm not discouraging you but I hope you must have consulted some Mac experts or 
having some purpose to use it.
Else, I'd advise you to use Windows on Mac itself through Bootcamp and enjoy 
the great performance.
This is my personal experience/opinion.

Yes this trusted platform module is the primary requirement an rest of your 
configuration is fine if you are running Windows 10.

GO to Run and type tpm.msc and press enter.

A program opens saying that Trusted Platform Module (TPM) Management on Local 
Computer.

Pres tab once and check whether your TPM is V2.2 or above.

Else, the best method to check whether your PC is compatible, Just visit to the 
URL is in the trailing mail and download the PC compatibility tool.

Answering one of your email, I gave you 3 requirements,  two of them are 
related to hardware requirements.

Trusted platform module (TPM 2.2) and 64-bits processor are hardware 
requirements.

As far as my machine is concern, its not illegible for windows 11 because   its 
not equipped with (TPM 2.2).

Since knowing about this fact, I’m very very sad.

Hey Austin,

Primary prerequisite for getting Credit card is your Cibil score I think 
minimum should be 750.

If you have a signature guide or can manage to sign I'd advise you to apply 
online and never furnish anything concerning your disability.

I hold 3 to 4 credit cards and among them recently I took Citi card where I 
failed to comply with video KYC because of not being able to focus the KYC 
documents properly 😊.Then  an executive came to my place and took my KYC 
documents.

You can’t read any hindi PDF file by any screan reader. First you required to 
OCR it. You can use invision app for IOS devise for the same.

I use voiceover in my iPad.It reads Hindi from gmail,google classroom and 
websites properly but when it comes to reading PDFs sent by my teacher it reads 
the document letter by letter.

I have attached a sample audio recording for reference if that would help.This 
is a bigger problem in certain other files.

If anyone knows why it is happening or any solution please reply.

websites properly but when it comes to reading PDFs sent by my teacher it reads

If anyone knows why it is happening or any solution please reply.

This might be due to your Bluetooth hardware  or drivers are quite 
older/outdated.
I was also having the same problem with my laptop in Windows 7 and when I 
upgraded in to Win10 unfortunately no Bluetooth drivers were available for my 
laptop.
Please check whether new drivers are available from the device manager or from 
your Bluetooth hardware manufacturer's website.

I have got rid of all the rules which were set previously and I went to spam 
folder in web version and selected all Access India mails and unspammed them.  
Since then so far no single AI mail has gone to Spam folder.

I have a separate folder for Access Indian mails actually.

What I had been doing was that I’d go to gmail/Spam folder in Outlook where all 
the access India mails are there and then select one of them and under rules I 
had selected “always move messages from accessindia.org.in” and choose this 
created folder.  Unspamming from Web seems to be working let me monitor it.

You will have to use the correct criteria. You should search for AI within

1 Regularly unjunk / unspam all AI mails.

2 Set a rule

I have used the former method and not a single mail goes to the junk folder for 
me. If all of us take either of the steps then, automatically the problem will 
get solved for good.

Also You can know your product key with out any third party utility just by 
typing wmic path SoftwareLicensingService get OA3xOriginalProductKey under 
Command prompt.

Let me simplify my question.

There are rare circumstances where we will need to reinstall our Windows.

My question is, Does Microsoft provide account based license?

IF I unlink my PC from the Microsoft account is there any way that I can keep 
my license in Microsoft account?

Nope it was the upgrade from home to pro edition and obviously you will need 
the key and it will be genuine.

This is due to secure apps feature is turned on in your Google account.
Google thinks that Microsoft Outlook is not a secure app not sure why😊
Just open your Gmail and locate settings/accounts/google accounts and there you

Yes indeed,
Nothing difference compare to your stand-alone office applications.
Office 365 is just a subscription with more features such as one drive, share 
point and even you can access your office apps in web version.  You need to 
check whether they will provide only the web version or along with desktop 
applications.  It depends upon your license policy you can even have only web 
version.  I checked in one of banks they had only web versions and they were 
not eligible to install office apps on their desktop.

I second your views.
OTP is the best solution in this context.
Let users enter their registered number to get OTP.  Else, based on user ID
system can send OTP to the associated number with the entered user ID.
Second solution needs some backend work although.

Actually here in Bangalore compare to Ola Uber is more systematic.  While
all drivers might not be professional, from your message I suspect that GPS
is not so accurate in your place. That is why drivers might not be dropping

Dear all,
I generally use Uber to travel home from work and have been doing so since
the past three years. However, of late since the past six months, the
service of Uber has become disastrous to say the least.
While repeated cancellations and ever prevealing surch in prices are
pinching, the major concern facing me is the drivers dropping me off way
before my destination (including today where I was stranded in a dark
suppositly place). While we may use G maps and insist that our destination
is still some distance away, even G maps is not always accurate.
Uber has no customer care email or phone number. Complaints through their
app have yielded no consequence.
My office being inside a society, it is not possible to catch Autos, thus
Uber being the only option.
While colleagues are kind enough to drop me into a Auto, that doesn't work
out partly due to my timings being half an hour before them and partly due
to reluctance to bother them on a daily basis.
Is anyone else facing the same trouble with Uber?
If yes, we could compile a list of complaints and probably take up with
authorities.

Please make sure that Itunes is installed in your computer.
Download your desired iOS whether iOS 13 or 12.14 from the following link:
https://ipsw.me/iPhone8,4
Then connect your phone using Apple data cable and hold down your both power 
and home buttons simultaneously until it reboots in recovery mode.
Please be advised that once your phone reboots in recovery mode you will get a 
message in your itunes saying that "this iphone needs to be restored" something 
very similar to that.
Just ignore this prompt either pressing Escape or cancel button.  For your 
information if you press restore button in this screen it will start 
downloading your iOS firmware from the internet.  Then, press tab until you get 
restore button in Itune main window (in recovery mode).
Here please remember to press shift+enter on restore button.  Then you are 
asked to browse your downloaded iOS file which you will have downloaded 
already.  Then rest is self explanatory if you are familiarized with the Itunes.
 Please note: while it is in recovery mode do not allow Itunes to download the 
IOS because if you experience network fluctuation during download it will not 
resume from where it was interrupted.  It will start downloading from beginning 
and you will end up losing your data and importantly your time.
Shift+enter in Itunes recovery window is very important. If you press enter on 
restore it will start downloading iOS files from the internet.

Minimum they have monthly subscription of 800 min to both fixed lines and

 If as you say you are looking for an alternative due to horrid network 
coverage where you are at, the least you would need to achieve what you are 
wanting to do would be a decent internet connection instead.
 If the area you are in offers a decent internet connection, then as others 
have said here you could use skype calling service to make calls, you would 
need a subscription, though.
 VOIP calls being blocked is new to me, but something our government is 
certainly capable of given their track record so far.

I'm not sure what is going on in their mind.
They could have added an extra layer of security instead of this obnoxious 
captcha.
They have 128 bit of SSL encryption so simple is that you cannot paste anything 
in user name and password fields. How bots can access I'm wondering.

If the banks have introduced CAPTCHA for their security, as it's creating 
problem for us, let us hope and ask them to provide some kind of alternative 
like entering the OTP sent to our registered mobile number to varify it's us as 
an alternative of entering the CAPTCHA text or just bring some kind of simple 
math problem sort of challenge, where we could enter the calculated value 
instead of the CAPTCHA hope this issue is taken seriously by the bank and 
changed as soon as possible.
Today afternoon also, as I tried to log in to the Online SBI website, 
encountered the same problem of captcha, I have also written a feedback mail to 
them, let's wait and see what happens, hope it happens soon, as it's very 
crutial that we have to get easy access that is, quick to log in and out when 
we need, which has made us lot of independent.

I have often made references on this blog to how living alone for the first 
time has been a key reason why the last year has been so transformative for me. 
I can see why that might seem odd to some. Why should a 25-year-old man living 
away from his family be noteworthy? Isn’t that just how things are supposed to 
be, they might wonder. However, when I step back to reflect on how my life has 
thus far unfolded from the standpoint of independent living, it becomes 
apparent why this has been such a significant development. Until I moved to 
Delhi to take up my first job, my life in my home town was very circumscribed.
I’d have always access to a driver to get to places. Things like doing the 
laundry independently, cooking my own food or washing my utensils had never 
even crossed my mind. I always took what was at once both a privilege and a 
burden and a blessing and a ‘golden cage’ for granted.
In a country like India, in which the status quo essentially results in the 
disabled being relegated to the fringes of society, I have always recognized my 
good fortune in having access to the resources critical for me to make good the 
major deficit of having a severe impairment. However, the same resources which 
freed me from the shackles imposed by my disability sometimes handicapped me in 
other ways.
When I was in school, I’d always be accompanied by a sighted helper who took me 
everywhere, took my notes for me, dropped me home after school and so on. Some 
of my classmates would sometimes speak with her rather than me when they wanted 
to find out how many marks I had scored in an exam, for instance.
When I was around 17 and in junior college, I felt socially isolated, having no 
group of friends from school or junior college with whom I met on a regular 
basis. I posted about this problem on a mailing list for blind people, Access 
India. I got uniformly lambasted, and in retrospect rightly, for always going 
everywhere in the company of a sighted helper even at that age. It was then 
that I first recognized the importance of breaking free of my chains which I 
had until then perceived as a privilege.
After examining from close quarters the superficial relationship that many 
children share with their parents, I have come to acquire a newfound 
appreciation for my family’s concern in my well being which, though sometimes 
misplaced and unfounded, is always rooted in a sense of being deeply invested 
in my welfare. I still remember the heated arguments that I would have with my 
family every time I would voice a desire to go for a conference to a different 
city or pursue an internship.
I found myself locked in a vicious cycle. Because of the patterns of dependence 
that I had gotten habituated to, I always had to be accompanied by a family 
member if I wanted to travel to a new city. This naturally meant that the cost 
to be incurred and resources and energy to be invested in the project, got 
doubled. When this was the investment that had to be made to so much as travel 
to a nearby city for a conference, naturally, few things seemed so important as 
to justify this investment.
One of my role models whose journey never ceases to inspire me is American 
Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor.  I suppose the key reason for this is 
the grace and equanimity with which she has dealt with her impairment, 
childhood diabetes and never allowed her impairment of childhood diabetes to 
limit the scope of her aspirations. In her book, My Beloved World, she movingly 
talks about the difficulty she faced in convincing her family about the 
importance of pursuing ambitions with which her family was unfamiliar  and then 
achieving them. While her grandmother eventually allowed her to go study at 
Princeton, she recalls, the former never fully grasped the significance of this 
opportunity in Sotomayor’s life, viewing it as just one of the many things her 
granddaughter wanted to do.
Around 2 years ago, when someone with whom I was close friends at the time was 
getting married and I expressed the wish to travel independently for the 
marriage, I got a series of worried messages from my father. “I wake up at 5 AM 
every morning,” he wrote in one anxious text, “overcome with anxiety  about how 
you will manage to travel and live alone in a new city.”
As is always my preferred approach, I tried to reason with him, to point out 
the concrete solutions to every problem I might face during the journey. My 
parents’ resistance, however, though doubtless based on unconditional love and 
concern, was, beyond a point, irrational. It was rooted in the simple thought: 
for someone who is blind, even one mistake might be one too many, forever 
negatively colouring the rest of your life. And irrational resistance can 
rarely be overcome through rational argument.

Friends, I would like to know if my office doesn't give me my form 16, how
do I go about?  my office says form 16 of all employees are sent to office
mail Id and we are orally instructed to download form 16  from office mail
Id the access is limited to a few office employees.  As per my knowledge,
till last year,  it was the responsibility of the employer/office to issue
form 16 to their employees.  So if my office  doesn't issue  form 16 to me
which in effect means I am unable to file IT  returns for which I later will
be issued a notice by the IT  dept.  So can I take refuge saying since my
office didn't give me form 16 hence I couldn't file the returns.  Learned

It really depends upon your requirements.
If you are looking to use both Mac OSX and Windows, then one hardware is
sufficed but you need to have high configuration such as 16 GB of Ram and
500 GB of SSD.  If you are only looking to use windows then it is not worth
having Mac book.
Since you are telling that this is in your office environment, I don't think
they will have privilege's to install Windows on Mac using Boot camp
assistant.
Windows can also be installed through the Fusion but this is not at all good
since it shares the system resources being in one platform.  If you install
Windows through the Bootcamp then it is completely a dual boot session on
your system. YOU can reboot your system either in Windows or Mac OSX.

You can indeed remove it through the registry editor.
Please be advised that Incorrectly editing registry editor can severely
damage your system.
It is quite powerful tool and what I'm going to tell you is only for
advanced users.
Open Run and type regedit and press enter.
Once the registry editor is opened, there will be a tree view and just
navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\Microsoft\windows\current
version\uninstall.
Once you locate uninstall you need to be precautious.
There are several values which display like
{136F1D08-5DD2-4B52-8B2E-FA70AFE505A5}
You need to look at each value's display name by locating its list view by
pressing tab.
For instance, if you have focused on {136F1D08-5DD2-4B52-8B2E-FA70AFE505A5},
just press tab once to get to the list view and either use arrow keys or
just press D until you get display name.
Once you found your desired program's display name, just come back to the
tree view and delete that key.
Once the key is deleted,
Just come back to software in the route path with in registry editor itself
and there will be a key in the name of its vendor.  For instance Freedom
Scientific in the case of Jaws.
You need to delete that vendor's key from the software and then restart your
system.  Once your system is restarted, please delete its program files
components along with the shortcut from desktop and start menu.

No you can even use caps lock key if you are using laptop keyboard layout.

speaking of capts log only works in desk top layout and not in laptop
layout. if you would like to use capts log function please change your key

Though I often don't use Word, I just checked and verified that spell check 
dialog works with out any accessibility with the latest version of Jaws 
including the shortcuts.
I hold an individual subscription which is Microsoft Word Subscription Version 
16.0.11328.20230 and verified that it is up to date.

I've just voted today and experience was moderately good.  I had been keep 
telling them that I know Braille and had voted many times previously in various 
constituencies but through their talk it seemed they were not much confident 
enough.
But one appreciable thing was that they were quite clear that on behalf nobody

Yesterday, I along with my elder brother who is also blind, went to cast our 
valuable vote with my wife accompanying us.

To begin with, the clerk at booth greeted us with affront question to my wife,  
“Can they cast vote or you will caste instead?
However, before I could recover from this momentous attack on our ability and 
direct substitutive approach taken by the representative of the biggest 
democracy, the booth-in-charge walked upto us and handled the situation himself.
From Then onwards, it was smooth process with braille list and braille 
labelling on the EVM.
However, no attempts were made to counsel the concerned clerk, at least not in 
our presence.

Once you are presented that dialog box, using Jaws can you press Insert+q
and get the file name which is announced? Insert+Q does announce currently
loaded application and script file if any.  For instance, if you are in
Microsoft outlook it will announce Microsoft Outlook settings are used in
the OUTLOOK.EXE application.
This will help for further diagnosing which application is producing this
dialog box.

Has anybody ever used windows on Mac through Boot camp? If so how was your
experience.
Since windows 10 creative update we have audio support throughout the
installation but unfortunately on Boot camp audio is not supported while
installation of windows on Mac.

There is a universal solution for this if you use Latest version of Jaws.
Just press insert+space and f11.  This is a toggle command for screen
shading off/on

If you are openning any old file in excel 2019, then, it'll open in
compatible mode, where Jaws doesn't read the contents of the file. If you
are trying to open a blank document, then, may be, your Jaws is not
compatible with the office 2019. I am also facing the same issue, so its
